Ridley Scott's runway is very short...he better get crackin' on finishing up Blade Runner, instead of giving a gazillion interviews.

How many films have you watched recently that you really like? or even make a place in your heart and stay there... I was over analysing why most films made nowadays stink of banality and mediocrity... is it because everything seemed fresher when i was younger or is it because films are made so different currently.
CG still can't hold a candle to the aesthetics when using expertly designed film sets like in the original... I'm not being biased as I used to work in CG as a compositor.
Rutger Hauer was an inspiration to the film coming up with his own dialogue, ideas and incredible performances on screen
Vangelis composed something of in-human proportions when it came to the bladerunner soundtrack. His body of work in motion picture is borderline genius.
the new film will (i'm speculating) have none of these aspects, but will most probably be ok. I will probably watch it then do what i did with all the highlander sequels, forget about them and remember the specialness of the original.

I'll be excited if Prometheus turns out to be a good thing. If not, I'd rather have him not touch Blade Runner at all.

I've played its computer game years later on a pc. They have matched the same texture and the feel of the movie there. Whoever art directed that game should get involved in the making of this new one.

If they can't get Vangelis for this then abort.
