I think other cars have hundreds of people 'designing' them because it's and extremely complex inter-disciplinary task that relies of people being experts in, and and having the accumulated knowledge of thousands of years research into engineering, power-train function, crash test/safety. It's not enough to just design a new body kit and use foam to pad it out on top of an already existing vehicle. He didn't design his own car, he made a body kit, didn't spend enough time drawing out the front grill, and hacked it together.
