i had a similar thing, i was freaking out a bit..
but i had pain in my right lung area and in my side..
i went to the doctor and she pushed a pressure point in my shoulder and it felt like she stabbed a pen in.. which was strange as i had never noticed pain there before.
she then explained the pain in my side is related to the pain in my shoulder .. it was all knotted up and shit.
anyway, she did some work on my shoulder and the next day, the pain in my side was pretty much gone..
moral of the story, its not always what you think

I drink like a fish and I don't feel anything in my liver. Maybe it's something worse...

http://www.newscientist.com/arti…personally i hate drinking, after work drink culture and the feeling you get from alcohol. you're better off at the gym if you need to unwind.
- pleeeease,
you only have one life, why waste it at the gym instead of drinking yourself to deathGeorgesII

Sounds like the liver.
I've had quite a few instances where I've drank too much in a certain time period and as a result experienced a dull pain on my right side. Probably just a bit of inflammation.
- do u continue to drink? was it somethin u went to the doc for?..ive had bad hangovers but never felt the dull pain before..

Yep. Could be gallbladder. Could have gallstones, or an inflammed liver, or it could be displaced pain from other organs. Get some bloodwork done, they can test for liver function and so on.

take a break, replace the beer with water for a week and see what happens.
I got hepatitis from drinking too much last year when the olympics were in town and my liver was so inflamed that I had difficulty walking for about 3 days. Water helped and it subsided.
- Damn. I cant def still work, was doing alot round the house yester but the dullness came and went throughout the day..thx Publics.

Go to the doctor if you a concerned. QBN isnt the place for this.

You probably have a gallbladder problems, especially if you drink a lot, or have an irregular diet.
I had mine taken out this year after years of dealing with the uncomfortable pain off and on. It was completely worth it.

If its a dull ache on the sides of you back, it could be kidney stones. If it is, get it looked at by a doctor. I made a thread a while back on kidney stones - wouldn't wish them on anyone.
Best bet is to cut out the booze, and drink more water :-)
- Have also had kidney stones. Worst pain imaginable.domacle

Stop drinking. 4 drinks a day (depending on alcohol content) is considered a binge, and you are doing that every day. I think you only have yourself to blame.
- lol "a binge" please. Bing is strictly double digits.ThePublics
- Not according to the feeble UK view on this.Raniator
- isnt the recommended amount 3-4 a day for men??jruggs

3-4 beers a day and the occasional whiskey rocks 2-5 over the week. I'd call that an Alcoholic. Sorry.

Could be the gall. Get some blood tests. Mention to the doc that you think it might be gall stones/bladder as they tend not to diagnose it. My gf's mum had gall stone pain for decades before they worked out what it was. Now the gf's having the op and only because she told the doc her mother had the issue.
