I'm looking for date ideas around London. Preferably east or North London (Shoreditch, Angel).
Anyone know of anything cool on? Something different that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?
Thank you in advance.

Not shoreditch, but fancy and affordable if you want to impress the lady, ask for a window table ;)

- Oh - have a pint at The Camel, The Florist or the Approach - all around there and they all at least used to be good.Gordy22
- I second Gordy22's pub choice. I live opposite the Camel. Good pies.neandersthal
- neandersthal - is the Florist still good? Used to be awsome a lng time ago (fuck - 8 years or so!)
Gordy22 - Yep. Florist is still good. Busy and loud. Camel is the calmer one. Both are dope.neandersthal

Do a Saturday morning date: take her to Broadway Market in Hackney, get something hot to drink, and some nibbles from one of the stalls, then browse around the used record/vintage clothing/funky jewellery stalls. Talk lots in the process, get to know each other and have fun.
- Haha we've been together for ages. But thanks for your help :)domacle
- Oh. Well. Then get on with it and PIITB, you time-waster! ;)Continuity
- +1 Broadway Market and take a stroll down the canals and have sexgoldieboy
- If you've known her a while, why bother taking her for a date?orrinward
- She's bound to be far too emotionally dependent on you by now to require courting or maintenance.orrinward

Hire bikes somewhere leafy - find a pub
Get the boat from Westminster to Hampton Court or Richmond, if it's still running.

Take a stroll through London. I went on a walk a few weeks back when I had visitors. Roughly: Convent Garden > Traf Square > The Mall > St James Park > Buck Palace > West Minster > South Bank. If it's a sunny day take a picnic in St James.
After living in London for 15 years I take it for granted and forget sometimes how stunning this city can be (on a sunny day only - it's crap usually) :D

thanks for the advice guys.
I think we're after something more experiential than restauranty. Anyone got any ideas? I was thinking http://alternativeldn.co.uk/ but unfortunately they don't run on a Sunday.

daytime: get a pinhole camera and go for street art hunting - start on rivington street and go east from there. You can stop for curry at brick lane (or bagels at the market) - the you can stroll down the canals than run from old street to angel. Again, you have a street market in there, a few good pubs and a massive art store that I love. There's also the candid arts gallery and cafe. They have drop in classes and a really cool coffee... I also remember a karaoke somewhere in the main road...
- brick lane curries are insane! a few nice pubs there toocruddlebub
- + 1 Candid arts gallery cafegoldieboy
- i wish i would have known places like that when i arrived to LDN...maikel
- -1 for curries on brick lane.. Awful! Go to aldgate east down the road, go to needo grill and ave lamb chopsjoshtrix
- Or try Tayyabs in Whitechapel for THE best curry in E1. Book a table, though......Eighty

Thanks Maikel that sounds awesome.
where's the best place to get a pinhole camera from? Drop in art class sounds really good - do you have any links to where they might be?

gallery and classes. neat place.http://www.magmabooks.com/
you can buy a kit to make a pihole camera here.if you want something more 'active' you can nick a boris bike and go to richmond park... or maybe try some indoor-climbing
there used to be some drop-in screen-printing workshops in north london... close to arsenal's stadium if I don't remember wrong.
What happened with you last QBN drinks anyway?
