@ bombay,
solution?do like the chinese,
build bridges, railways, hospitals, roads, infrastructure,
in exchange for minerals/oil/wtv
while staying the fuck out of the country's politic,
it's not like Us can give lessons to anyone about peace and democracy..ask any south american/ middle east-an / south east asian for examples,
is that a good enough solution for you?
that's one- +1dobre
- "thats'one" what george's brain??
can't rememberGeorgesII - Thanks for providing a possible solution rather than just railing against the US daily.DrBombay
- How long do you expect the chinese to "stay the fuck out" of a country's politics btw?TheBlueOne
- The US has sucked, but I'll bet they'll look quite benign to the chinese in about 10 years time.TheBlueOne
- you forget that the US has been almost in constant war for 100 years, when the first chinese bomb drops, I'll take my word backGeorgesII
- word back, but so far,
I'm not impressed by your demagogy and lack of world views, so for you it's ok as long as it's the US that doing it?GeorgesII

So Shitfodders (JazX):
Reagan should have taken out Gaddafi when he had the chance, but you blast Obama for getting involved in what eventually took out Gaddafi.
You are the biggest shit-eating water-carrying sycophant that QBN has ever seen. I hope you die penniless and alone.
- You're calling JazX? I was rather leaning toward team_zissouContinuity
- He mentioned Afrika (with a K) and geology (as if he was some expert) last week. It's JazX 4sure.DrBombay
- Popfodder is one of these guys...

who are the rebels?
without the western support and heavy bombing + sas troops on the ground, they could have fought for years without conquering a single street.but don't you think it's weird how gaddafi's special forces just evaporated from tripoli, if you've heard anything about them, you should be worried about what is going to happen in the next few weeks,

I wonder at what point, when you're huddled there in a dark pipe drain, with two wounded legs from a drone attack, clutching your gold plated .45 automatic hiding from rabid armed gunman do you start pondering where you took that wrong turn in your life.

The war is not yet over for Libya's new rulers in the desert town of Bani Walid where Gaddafi loyalists vow to fight on for their fallen leader and other residents are angry over violence and looting.Enraged by what they see as acts of retribution by forces loyal to Libya's new government, tribesmen say their men are already trying to regroup into a new insurgency movement in and around the strategic desert town south of the capital, Tripoli.

In that speech, they were not taking Ghaddafi seriously at all. There are obviously business deals being made with the US by the Arab countries which are hush-hush and that ghaddafi had no part of. They laugh at his naivety and with his bad record, the US laugh at Ghaddafi's accountability. Now that he is gone the US will continue deal with the new guy with the suit and no racial agendas that are out in the open.

Georges, I understand your concerns.
However, I believe it's far too early too decry the "West" as string-pulling agitators pushing Libya towards regime change. The truth is that a broad majority of Libyans appear to have supported this transition.

Not sure if Libyans were supporting NATO backed rebels raping and torturing their way through the country, they just knew if they said otherwise they'd be fucked.
