You can found really good photos on flickr. Try contacting the owner or some of them actually sell their own.

I've noticed that the amount of time you'll spend surfing / sifting through istock or getty to find the 'perfect' images you could have easily pay a photographer to shoot on site for you.
I know, it sounds ridiculous. But it's fucking true.
