When there's a play on two words, to make up a commonly known word (or words) that already exist?
For example;
Indie Skies = In disguise
Is this just called a play on words, and does anyone have any other examples?

Two words that form one that already exists? Not sure. Two words to form a new word? Portmanteau.

That's what a quick Google search will get you... An incorrect answer...

Homonyms are spelled the same with different meaning.

As opposed to "there" / "their" / "they're", which are homophones, but still not relevant to the question asked.

ahem. it's a pun.
The pun, also called paronomasia, is a form of word play which suggests two or more meanings, by exploiting multiple meanings of words, or of similar-sounding words, for an intended humorous or rhetorical effect.
