I just bought a new all in one machine by Brother.
The highest scan setting is 600 DPI though.
Any suggestions / software on how to scan something in at higher res?

google the model number. you might just get lucky and someone will have created new twain software better than the standard.
but I'm just guessing... maybe I'm the idiot.

scan a large original at your scanner's highest optical resolution and scale it down, increasing resolution. If you reduce the image to 50 percent, for instance, you double the resolution.
If you don't have a larger version of the artwork, you can enlarge your small version on a stat camera or quality photocopier, and scan that.

WTF? Isn't this just going to be the same as blowing it up on a computer only adding more noise into the mix?

if your printer doesnt go more than 600 then you need to take it somewhere.

You need to attach a canon 5d mark iii macro lens to your scanner.

you can probably take a higher resolution picture with your camera phone
