i am getting obsessed with finding a way to make money online...
I was thinking to open a website called something like 'Ben's Market' and selling all sorts of stuff for 1$ ... digital stuff. It's clear yet in my mind.

market is different now that what it was. everyone gives you shitty percentages even on digital stuff. YWFT was great till i decided to kill it and not be a clip art artist. think my best year was 70k or something. shit was nuts. but that was also when everyone else started doing the 'stock art' bandwagon. only lasted for couple years. I sell fonts on the side and does okay, but i'd suggest using squarespace, make a shopping cart, sell your goods. use the other sites listed in this as just ways to get eyes on your work, but only give them the okay stuff and keep the sexy shit just for you. better margins. my two cents...
- +100 for the advice from someone actually doing it. Thanks hydrobreadlegz

man i hate to say it but anything you think will make decent $ is going to require a little more effort than just wondering what the big idea will be. all the time, research, attention and brain power trying to think up a quick fix idea could be spent learning how to code, paint, draw, sew, sing, beatbox, etc -- then you'd be wayyy closer to an opportunity.
please believe me if you put focussed effort into anything you can make it work... even buying cameras off ebay for $5 and selling them for $100 - but you have to put in that work in to show you're not just looking for a quick buck -- you look at 99% of success stories and the people who see the big successes are the people who devoted themselves to their ideas - even if they're simple, silly or dumb ideas.
pick something you want to do and spend all your time making it work and you can make it work. you have to spend all your time on it though, so best choose something you enjoy / are passionate about, not something you just want to make $.

Anyone ever try this?
- benfal990
What do you think of this idea?
A website where people would pay 2$ to be listed in a database of a specific job sphere. Like a database of graphic designer in the USA or Canada. Or a database of photographer. All presented with a super minimalist design; name, contact info and one image.
Do you think that could work?

i didnt find any website doing this in a super simple way. Maybe LinkedIn, but try looking for a list of graphic designer and see how the results look like...

how does the name ''Repertori'' sounds in english? Does it make any sense for a website that list databases of people doing specific jobs?
