Need some cheering-up.
Have you experienced a deep dip in your relation with money? Put blatanly: have you been on the verge of bankrupcy?
How did it turn to be all good again?

just before the server connection dies but after it disconnects everyone else in your office and you're the only one who made it!
Cue smug look and disapproving shake of the head for those who didn't save regularly.

I ate cheap (I'm talking about dried beans and rice, managing to spend only $10/week on food), lost weight, sold the car, sold my stuff, found a room to crash in for almost nothing, sold my stocks, spent the last few bucks on building a portfolio, and the only thing that got me through it was a new job.

company i was running went under at the end of 2010, took a few months to get through it... by the time i'd got back on my feet as freelance i was another 10k in debt and pretty sick of the design industry... early 2011 my housemate passed away, i had a health scare of my own and was having a nightmare of a time with the (now ex) g/f at the same time. also, met a lot of folks that have been in much worse financial situations, with debt running in to millions/ bankruptcy/ massive tax bills now happily running their own rootsy businesses or working as bar tenders, gaffers, white van men.
just made me realise that money is a pile of shite in the bigger scheme of things, and if i want to 'shoot for the moon' for a retirement fund, probably not best to do it in this shithole of a country in the middle of a financial crisis... anyway, worked much less this year, updated my skills, made more music, hung out with my friends... not so bothered that almost everything i have earned has gone to paying off loans and tax bills.

I've been using a fairly-well-known loophole in an internet service to make £4000 in 4 months with very little work (at max 4/5 hours per week, but typically a lot less).
I won't say what it is as this website has my identity, but it's simple and fun!

I haven't been on the verge of bankruptcy. But, the following two changes have allowed my wife and I to make it rain:
- We moved to a new neighborhood where rent was less (and got more space in the balance!).
- My wife got a job.
