I only recently found out that Channel 4's Tour theme tune was written by Pete Shelley. Pete fucking Shelley.
This is the full version, not the last 30sec that was used for the show.
Absolute fucking banger.
- it is actually a reworking of a b-side to one of his solo singles iirc.face_melter
- Yeah, I have that tune as my ring tone. Chanel 4 sports coverage had the best theme tunes back in the 80/90s.Wolfboy
- I grew up watching Le Tour and I loved the recaps on the rest days when they’d usually have a montage that used the longer version of the tune.Wolfboy

Huge fan of Southern Death Cult, Death Cult and The cult BITD
They're touring the UK this year and revisiting their early catalogue. Small-ish venues too. I've just got tickets, so I'll see you in B'ham along with all the other 50 year olds wishing it was a seated gig.

So this is basically a Yayhooray inside joke video that I made many years ago, but since kaiyohtee and mrT posted about this song, I thought I'd join in so here goes...
The backstory goes like this. A yayhooray member went missing called "francisco" which ended up making the local news bcuz they found him eventually. You can pause the video at 0:07 seconds and see us talking on yayhooray... When we found out it would be on the news somebody made a livestream and we all gathered on ustream to watch the live TV broadcast where they outed Francisco as a deadbeat dad who was leading a secret double life outside his life as a seattle designer.
You can see everyone in the live chat is both horrified and gleeful at this same time as this was the only time a yayhooray member made the news...

According to those 2 links above, we know:
-Francisco is a designer.
-Francisco is the 1380th member of Yay Hooray! and has been a member since June 27 2004.
-He had a wife and kidsquote from 2nd link:
"I want you to know that Nick had a completely seperate life going on behind the scenes. He was involved with sexual online communities, and was found to have had multiple partners as far back as 1 year into their marriage. Some were women, some men."
"He had his laptop with him all the time, often in the bathroom. He never put it down at home."
Just a bit of boring yayhooray history for all you fine QBNers...
