Ok guys this is a good one. A client asked if we could match the color of yellow highlighter (he wants the neon effect). I advice him that it is possible, however it will require a special or custom print process which I've never done before.
Any of you have any insight about this?

these books are free- get them all. (you have to order 1 at a time). they've got great info in them on color, and some really nice charts and examples all the way thru. i've had them for a couple years, and take them off the shelf almost weekly to help explain things to clients.

if you're job is printing CMYK, pure Y is actually not that far off neon... tint it back a bit to let some white through (0,0,90,00) and it might be suitable and a lot cheaper for your client.
- i worked as a printer for 5+ years, nobody ever confused yellow for neon...bjladams
- not saying it is... just suggesting the client might be satisfied with a tint of yellowhorton
