Evening all,
I've been in this community for a few years now and have requested a lot of help for shitty/small things. Now I'm hoping to get someones invaluable help on an event myself, some colleagues and friends are throwing on July 7th.
We're hosting a boat cruise along the Thames in London, with 100% of the proceeds going to Cancer Research UK, a charity organisation close to many of our hearts.
We're in the early stages of planning, and without wanting to go in to too much detail at this stage (I'll make another thread about that closer to the date), we are hoping to get a designer and/or developer on board to work on a site, which will allow for the purchase of tickets to the event.
We've currently got an international DJ lined up with a couple more to be confirmed.
If any one out there has some capacity over the coming weeks (probably wishful thinking), please get in touch with me or leave a note below and I'll drop you an email.
Thank you for your time,
Dom

You should describe more about what you are needing your someone to do, I also suggest you keep everything in one thread so it will be easy for everyone reading assisting to keep track without losing threads in the filter.

Thanks albums.
I was going to create a thread closer to the date moreso to see if any London QBNers were keen to come along, once everything was sorted.
We'd need a flat html site developed which would house information about the event, similar to a festival site promotionally and visually, but we would not need it to be as in depth as most festival sites.
They key part which will take the longest amount of time would be the e-commerce element which would allow people to purchase the tickets online (via paypal or another e-wallet solution).
We'd also need to cap the amount of tickets based on the capacity of the boat.
Is that enough information as a topline?
Wireframes would be provided to the designer if we can get one on board from QBN. If not, we'll continue explore alternative avenues.

I know the guys who have helped the cancer UK with a website project -- maybe they could help?
