Thinking about going to Santorini in July if the whole Covid situation allows.
- Absolute worst time to go. But post if you do, my cousin has a place thereGnash
- You mean now or in July or this summer in general?NBQ00
- June, July, august. Too crowded. Like crazy crowded. But COVID-19 May thin things out this summerGnash
- April/may, and September are good times to go. Especially to places like SantoriniGnash
- Could be better this year, since lots of people just come by cruise normally. But maybe not this year. But yes avoid peak season.Longcopylover
- one of the most unique and beautiful places on earth. would love to go back this year with thinned out crowds_niko
- Unfortunately I don't think Americans will be allowed to go. EU is not letting us in until we lift the 'travel ban' for Europe.yuekit

- Looks good now but, mosquitoes, biting flies, rain, wind, eating from your lap, nowhere to wash, primitive toilet facilities. after about 6 hours, it gets old.Khurram
- Flies = too early
Rain = gear
Wind = blows flies away
Eating = all food tastes great camping
Wash = lake, duh
Toilet = ya, kinda sucksGnash - I used to go for weeks at a time. Paddle in as deep as I could get. I wouldn’t trade a minute spent in the woodsGnash
- Yeah I guess just carry wet wipes and mosquito repellentKhurram
- I stopped using bugspray, not I just get used to itGnash

The rock fortress of Sigiriya is one of the most valuable historical monuments of Sri Lanka. On its summit there are the ruins of an ancient civilization. Sigiriya refuses to reveal its secrets easily and you’ll have to climb a series of steep staircases attached to rocky walls to reach the top. The locals call it the Eighth Wonder of the World and they’re probably right.
- wow that's so cool. it also has roughly the same shape as the acropolis_niko
- I've hiked up there, it's incredible. The climb isn't as sketchy as they make it sound, but the murals on the way up are the best part of the whole experience.ben_
- The grounds around it are pretty amazing too, so many ruins. The monkeys are ruthless too.ben_
- @ben_ wow! awesome!Krassy
- @krassy, Sri Lanka is amazing I spent a month there back in 2005, my ex lives there now. If you get the chance, go.ben_
