I thought of adding Stuart Pugh yesterday, so I will today.
He is a product designer / engineer that created a specific system for product design along all stages of development called Total Design.from wiki:
"Stuart Pugh was a highly successful and exceptional design engineer and manager. His experience within industry led him to pursue a secondary career in academia, where he published his seminal work on ‘Total Design’."It's more of less a collection of essays but cool nonetheless.
