When I create a design in photoshop - my layers are not grouped. But then I use layer comps to show different variations of 1 design.
The problem is after I do the layer comps - I want to group the layers that are associated with the layer comp. But when I group the layers - the layer comps dont work anymore because it doesnt turn the layers on/off nside of the group folder.
Is there anyway around this? I realize I could group things before making layer comps.
But in this case I have not. What can I do?Thanks!

it shouldn't do anything to your layer comps if you organize the layers afterwards... just add your groups and click the "update layer comp" button in the layer comps window after ensuring that layer comp is highlighted.

I was going to say use folder instead, but the previous advice sounds less ghetto.

Seems to be on and off - sometimes if I group elements, the layer comps wont be able to find the layers inside the group.

Are you handing these files off to somebody else? Or is this just for your own use?

don't use groups as layer comps. shit is WACK and fucks up links when you add shit/groups

well I'm handing this off to a developer. Just trying to make his life easy... Usually I would just leave the layer comps as is... but I'm trying to group the elements, so the developer can find them easier.
But I'm noticing after I've made layer comps - grouping layers fucks shit up.
