I'm beginning to enjoy going to shows by myself more than with company. Can focus on the music without the distraction of 'checking in' with friends.
That is all. Off to raveonettes tonight. All by myself. Cheers.

How about finding a hot girl to take with you?

that's the equivalent of going to the movies by yourself. to me it's just weird.

i can't go anywhere without at least one girl. i went to a rave with a bunch of guys and it was the weirdest experience

Nah I'm with wagshaft... I can hit a show solo.
Sometimes I can't find people who are into the same music as me... and I don't like dragging people to shows if they aren't into it. Feels like a chore more than anything else.

we had a conversation a while back at work about people going to see a movie alone. I don't mind doing things alone, but going to see a movie at a theater isn't one of them. That seems more like a date thing to me.

I've gone to all sorts of shows solo - part of it for "research" while I was trying to build a career in shooting shows (tip: don't give up your day job, ever; talk about the 1% having all the money/opportunity), partly because of money (I had it, my pals did not) and partly because some shit just has to be seen alone (try taking a date to see Jucifer ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juc… ) and you'll get my point).

If you go alone, it's easier to get a blowjob from a chick you meet at the show.

I do it all the time. if I want to see a band perform, I can’t be bothered with someone who wants to cuddle or talk or shit. I also strongly dislike people standing next to me cudldle or talk. I just rebuked a couple standing next to me that I paid to listen to the band and not to their boring conversations. Also I think it is just fair if someone travelled thousands of miles to perform for an audience not to chatter or so...
- I fucking hate people who spend the entire concert chatting.Al_dizzle

I went to TurboNegro solo, +1 experience.

The idea in itself is fine.
It only sucks if everyone around you is with people. Then you feel weird.

Going to gigs on your own is fine - doesn't make any difference during each set. Can be a bit awkward in that 30-45min gap between bands though.
- that's why you have a few drinks....! problem solved!jfletcher

Perfectly fine. If everybody did it, you wouldn't have to listen to dickheads telling their friends stupid stories over the top of the music you paid to hear.

I do too, youTube live is great.
