American Football has gotten so dumb. They are so protected with so much carbon fiber etc its no wonder there are so many injuries. The refs see the salaries of the players and the teams and they want in on it.
I really think they should strip them down and make it like Rugby.
This is how american football should be:

- Why the hell would we want to be like rugby?BK

NFL upholds touchdown ruling at end of Green Bay-Seattle game.
- they have no choice now.dbloc
- No, Goodell does have the right to change the outcome of games if its rule an unfair decision by the refs.CygnusZero4

The refs actually made the right call as stated by the NFL, and the replay officials are NOT replacements. They're a part of a different association than the field refs, so the same guys that reviewed scoring plays last year reviewed this and ruled it a TD for Seattle.
The play was ruled a simultaneous catch. Both players hands were on the ball from the time it got to them until when they hit the ground, and the rule states this goes to the receiver by default.
Change the rule, dont blame the refs for this one. Now that they review all scoring plays, they could change that rule to see who has MORE possession of the ball. That was definitely not a clear cut INT by the rule since both guys were fighting for the ball through the entire play until it was blown dead.
- it wasn't simultaneously caught, though, tate didn't have possession.colin_s
- Uh, he was touching the ball. Read the rule.CygnusZero4
- Touching the ball doesn't have anything to do with it. Which one of those guys would you have given it to if it was a fumble recovery?mathinc
- fumble recovery. GB's ball.mathinc

@CygnusZero4 - "Change the rule, dont blame the refs for this one."
Where was the ref when Tate offensively interfered in the endzone?
The ref completely blew that call and he was right there on the sideline. ridiculous. that would have been game over, packers win.- How many times is that called in the NFL? They said on ESPN almost never.CygnusZero4
- Offensive PI is not reviewable. And I dont think 1 or 2 refs can watch 8 guys.CygnusZero4
- They pretty much never call that on jump plays in the end zone. Too hard to see, and not reviewable.CygnusZero4
- Again, change the rule, dont blame the refs. The regular refs never called this either on hail marys.CygnusZero4
- Now if they want to make pass interference reviewable, I think they should, but it isnt right now.CygnusZero4
- how could you not see that? It was
more than obvious. don't kid yourself.cbass99 - It doesnt matter, they dont call it on hail mary plays in the nfl. How long have you been watching this league?CygnusZero4

Ed Hochuli the ref with the big gun said on Twitter when he found out the deal got done that he dropped down and started doing pushups. Hehe
Anyone remember in 87 when the league had replacement players? This wasnt nearly as bad as that bullshit.
