I'm helping my family on an online store and I'm looking for free or $1 image stock but I realised that all sites that claim to be $1 per image are in fact $1 = 1 credit, and images are usually >5 per image.
Does anyone know some real cheap imagestock? I'll need about 30-40 images mainly of living rooms and bed rooms.

www.bluevertigo.com.ar has a listing of free and paid sites for heaps of stuff (from bitmap to vector, web assets etc.) You have to trawl through it, but often comes up with the goods...

$5 x 40 images is still only $200.
It will probably be easier to go with somewhere like Dreamstime or Shutterstock with a monthly subscription – 25 images a day up to 750 images.
I'd try and get all the images from only 1 or 2 photographers with similar styles for more consistency.
If you look on the coupons sites you'll most likely be able to get another 10–20% off.
You'll also have the rest of the month to download background textures, vectors etc. that you can use for personal use or for client work in the future.
