I've been asked to develop one with a UX designer and would love to see some good examplesThnxKbai <h1>☜(゚ヮ゚☜)</h1>

- That is weird. Why do you think that is?monospaced
- because of fanboys who won't try anything new until their apple religious beliefs tell them it's ok to do it? :PGeorgesIV

i think this is what you mean?

Thanks hans_glib,
nah, I did something similar last year and it requires the place to actually have a scanner that will read the barcode on the screen, what I'm looking for is actually embedded in the phone, you bring the phone near a receiver and it automatically go through a process. It's similar to RFID but it's a two way communication instead of just a reader
like this visa paywave

In Korea you could pay your subway fare with your phone NFC over 8 years ago, why is it only catching on here now?

Oh hey, I just received some NFC stickers this week, so have been farting around with them trying to come up with something of interest (I bought them so I can, *finally*, laser-cut a Google Cardboard thing for my Nexus 5).
Only none-Cardboard use for them I've found so far is making them flash up insulting 'Toasts' , which I'm intending to add on top of advertising NFC tap-points.
Sadly, the NFC stickers I stuck under the kitchen table last night, to do much the same thing, don't work - fucking tables too thick.
I was hoping that people would randomly have their phone insult them when they left their phones on the table. No dice...
- but them under a beer coasterGeorgesII
- btw send me the link of the sticker you bought, I'm playing with ibeacons but the suckGeorgesII
- I think it was these ones: http://rapidnfc.com/…detritus

One thing I've not been able to find any documentation on, so wonder if anyone here wold know — when they're programmed, they remain anonymous, right? There's no programming-origin details added to the tag?
Not that I'm going to do anything very naughty, I just want to ensure there's no fucking telephone number or MAC code or whatever added in too.. :)
