The IE8?? thread kinda inspired this. Got curious what the design/developer community-type people use.
Go!

Add your reasons, guys! Makes the whole thing more interesting :)

Firefox here. Out of old habit, more than anything else. I use some of their plugins...

firefox, it works and I'm used to it

Chrome, because I like being spied on? Nah...cause it's webkit and faster generally than Safari.

Safari. it works fine + seamless sync across devices. (Chrome syncs too but you can't default to it in iOS..)
It's the most good looking of the bunch too.

FF. because it blocks all the fucking ads.

Opera. Simple, light.
Cons: every now and then I need to use Chrome for some sites.

Opera para siempre

Firefox for several reasons, including compatibility and simplicity. Of the browsers I've used it's the only one that can update in safe mode.

Firefox, because I'm used to it and the plugins and... I just never really gelled with Chrome.
It's had performance issues in the past, but whenever FF is getting really shit it somehow manages to pull its socks up and sort itself out, rarely leaving itself in the dust.
I'm particularly used to the Dev tools too, I guess. Also - 3dassplode view is actually useful sometimes - not sure if other browsers have intriduced that feature yet?

I've used Chrome for the past couple years but really miss FireFox. The Bookmark Sidebar in Firefox was a must have if you have a lot of bookmarks like me and like to be organized, makes it manageable. Chrome doesn't have this at all (no extensions either, or any half-decent ones for that matter). Chrome has the Bookmark Manager which opens in a separate window, but that's useless for when you want to bookmark something quickly and organize it, or if you want to scroll through bookmarks and have them open in the same window.
Personally, I don't see what's so great in Chrome. I don't notice it being any faster. I've been liking Safari. Like how it works nicely with the other iDevices I have, plus I can't really find anything wrong with it. I'll prolly eventually go Safari or FF sometime soon.

Chrome: Because you can middle click anywhere in a tab to close it.
Safari has this kick ass feature too but it's too slow.

FF for two months now after two or three years with Chrome.
Very happy so far.
Opera as alternative when necessary.

Chrome, but wish you could simply drag tabs into the bookmarks bar to add them as a bookmark (like firefox does). its so user intuitive and simple.
also wish chrome had a bookmarks sidebar.

Safari 6.1 beta.
Bookmark syncing with iOS Safari, iCloud tabs, more up to date web inspector (that can also be used with iOS Simulator or a connected device), and Chrome has never been all that fast for me.

Safari 6.1 is almost as good as IE6
