My url is about to expire and I'm wondering what service I should use to use? Godaddy is about $15 with private registration, but maybe there is cheaper out there?
I use godaddy, but have my hosting on dreamhost.
Also, as soon as it expires, am I able to sign up on any other site with that domain, or is there a waiting period?

Don't use godaddy...You can transfer domains before that btw...you don't have to wait for it to expire.

Found a coupon for Godaddy that's $12 incl. private registration.
But transferring to Hover is only $10 for a year, and they offer free private registration forever?
Any reason not to transfer to Hover and stay with GoDaddy?

I own a few hundred domains from Godaddy purchased thru the years.
The catch: I only buy at .99 cents with coupon codes... never paid more.
Even sold some for a few thousands dollars profit.
Fuck Them.
