Plane falls into ocean (probably)
The ocean is a big place, and no way to search beneath the surface
It doesn't seem that crazy to me, just sad for the families involved who will always have that element of uncertainty.

Earlier someone posted an info graphic of all the planes that disappeared without a trace. There were at least a few dozen within the past century or so.
- that makes sense. prior to 100 yrs ago, there WERE no planes ;)exador1

CNN has breaking news again today that a plane may have detected a signal.
Everyday they say the same thing about some new signal or ping "this is the best lead we've had yet"

Someone will find the plane while searching for hidden Easter eggs, using no technology at all...

Found it!
http://www.cnn.com/2014/04/15/us…A studabaker lost since 1971 in a small creek that is.
Half a mile from it's intended destination.makes you realize finding anything in a massive ocean is next to impossible.
there are hundreds of missing ships in the last century that have never been found either.
- but they didn't have the technology. This isn't 1920.formed

This is the part that I don't understand (besides how you can "lose" a $50million plane with cutting edge technology and 239 passengers), how can they not find it??
www.grindtv.com/outdoor/nature/p…...
They can keep track of a great white, remotely, for 10 years! All with a simple tag.
Further, how did anyone conclude that it just happened to crash at such an extreme place? It was "lost", satellite imagery was incorrect, so how does anyone know it is where they are looking currently.
Just wacky. I'd be pretty upset if a family member was on there.
(shark story is cool, though...glad I don't live in Australia!)

- it has to be worth more than 50 mil, right?CygnusZero4
- closer to 300 million.

They are looking where they are because of the pings. It was discovered that it couldnt have gone north, and pings were recorded at certain periods of time, which leads it to where they are looking. They didnt pick that area in the ocean randomly. They have solid data that points to it.

Have you guys found that plane yet?

Malaysia to release MH370 report, Prime Minister tells CNN
- CygnusZero40
Report on what? They dont know what happened to the plane or where it is. Should be a whole lotta nothin'.

My prediction. Plane was shot down by air force and they wont admit it.

^ why is it so goddamn hard to believe it just crashed...you know...the simplest, most logical explanation?
Shot down?????? What the fuck for???
- because still no one has any idea where or why, that doesn't seem strange to you?formed
- Strange yes....sinister nomarychain
- The 'shot down' theory is that they thought terrorists had taken it over, not really that unlikely give there was no communicationformed

A pilot friend on a huge airline thinks the plane did not crash.
Take it as you will.
