Does anyone take vitamins? I am a vegetarian and wondering if I should be taking a supplement.
I am fairly health conscious, but it can't hurt?
Any suggestions?

I take these: Opti-Men from Optimum Nutrition. I can usually feel a nice energy boost from them when I take them with lunch.

Most vitamins on the market are synthetic chemicals that mimic the composition of real food nutrition. Food based is in my opinion best way..
What I would do is Juicing. hard to get vitamins like vitamin D prob search shitake vitamin on google.

the things you find in fruits, the things near the vegetable counter...eat some from time to time and you'll be ok.

I think worrying about what we eat is more life threatening than anything. Just get a lifestyle where you exercise, eat good stuff and get regular sleep. Easy yeah?!

I experience an noticeable effect from zinc, not much from anything else

You can find everything you need in fruits or vegetables. No need for chemical synthetic stuffs. As a vegetarian, u need to learn where to get what your body needs. (Quinoa for proteins, fruits for vitamins,etc...)

fruits and vegetables are full of chemicals too. pesticids, insecticids. Everything cause cancer.

Dr Price was a dds and found out that native people from around the world had healthier teeth then people in industrialized society. he did an extensive study of food and health in relation to what people ate from around the world..

The dietary supplements and pharmaceutical industry has done a phenomenal job marketing and brainwashing everyone into believing all the bullshit about their vitamins, supplements and snake oil. A vast majority of all supplements sold at your local pharmacy or GNC outlet are not even regulated by the FDA.
America is one dumb fucking country!
- the industry has been taken over. it chemicals now. old vitamin formulas were better also depends what vitamins.yurimon

I would suggest a b complex or at the very least a b12 spray. I'm vegan and that is all I take.

If you're vegetarian you probably get better vitamin intake than most people. If anything you'd supplement with something you don't ingest normally, but it's probably not much.

I started tracking my diet using the MyFitnessPal app a year ago, and ever since I've been eating a very healthy, well-balanced diet in order to meet each day's daily macro and micronutrients.
But I have started eating a lot more fish and eggs, in order to get those hard to find B vitamins and omega3s.
