Hey gents! I know there are many tips online, but most of them don't really work. Does anyone know the best or easiest way to export SloMo videos from iPhones?
If you post it to IG or FB or Email, the quality drops as it compresses it, or only plays at full speed...
Thanks!

connect iphone to computer > import video
- Even doing this requires me to edit using an app and exporting againOSFA
- so you answered your own f'in question!monospaced
- That's the easiest way. It's also incredibly simply and totally free.monospaced

doesn't it just import via iphoto like a regular iphone video?

Typical apple, add a new feature thats half assed to give them something to improve in the next model. The slomo video looks really great... only on an iphone 5s screen. Outside of that its pretty useless and terrible.
- Umm, I know 8 year olds that have no problems editing slow-mo vids on their computers from videos on their iPhonesmonospaced
- They would disagree that it's half-assed, useless or terrible.monospaced
- What's the point of having it on your phone then? On your "mobile"OSFA

Basically what happens is if you try to take the slomo vid off your iphone and play it on your computer, it plays it in fast forward. I think you would need to re-render it in something like final cut. The video records at 120fps.

- ah, so basically you use the built-in Mac software to access the slow-mo with the slow-mo featuremonospaced

i tried to share a slow mo video with a friend, and they didn't have a 5—so it was normal speed.

When transferring 5s slo-mo vids anywhere outside of playing it on a 5s, it doesnt work. Has to be re-rendered. If you send it to someone with just a 5 its all choppy and crappy looking.

wow, is this right? I have been considering buying a 5s for this feature (nothing else seems any different than my 4s).
That is typical Apple. I am surprised they don't make you buy their software to decode.
Typical competition, too, still not offering something similar.

In order to have a non-5s slow mo video, I had to import it to my camera, open it on iMovie, and re-render it lowering fps to 25% since it was imported at 120fps. The entire process took about 5-8 minutes so that I can email it to a friend. Why add this when there's no way to export, share or upload to any other app like IG, FB, etc?

you just need to conform it to 25fps. no re-render.
yes this needs to be easier for people.
