Do you think there's any advantage to having and linking your personal Tumblr or Pinterest (if you're a woman) to your portfolio site?
Does a tumblr full of things that inspire you and work that isn't yours help communicate who you are to strangers who visit you?

It appears that 90% of Pinterest users are women, I don't know why. i don't have either and save .jpgs to folders on my computer.
I was thinking about starting a tumblr though.

I didn't like pinterest at first, but I never got accepted at ffffound so FAKEM. I started using pinterest and I like it.
I have to say, its REALLY HARD to not get wedding cakes and photos of desserts on your feed, but I learned that if instead of following people, you follow boards, then it's all good.
My feed is all design stuff, almost no wedding cakes which is pretty good.

I'm new to tumblr, I started one because I switched recently from carg0 to bpr0, and the only way to have a 'news' section is by linking either wordpress or tumblr. I like it a lot.
I only post work progress there and follow design/ type blogs that post only design stuff.
