Planning on sending an rfp response to a large company. We're thinking about sending a packaged ipad that functions like a touch screen kiosk.
Has anyone done anything similar to this?

are you presenting creative in response to an RFP?
used to do this at agencies, branded the whole iPad with wallpapers, cleaned all the icons off except the presentation we put in the dock. made special boxes for the iPad as well.

how many are you sending? do you expect it back? how could that be passed around with an ease in different parts of the organization?

Yup, we used this app to put things together: http://www.kioskproapp.com/
Really easy and flexible, my favourite part is that you can update the presentation remotely.

No gov't involved, right? Some rfp's won't accept "gifts" as part of the process (biased, etc.). I'd look into that before investing in something like that. We've been disqualified for as small a thing as a wrong word (in a 120 proposal! One f'in' word!!).

This is the first step to an rfp response. We've already been narrowed down to 4 or 5 others. We don't know if theres going to be an in person pitch afterwards. This is for a large high tech communications company. I actually came across that kioskproapp and thought it was awesome but one of the developers rejected it because it didn't have enough customer reviews........tosser.
