Anyone interested in doing a QBN World Cup fantasy league?
This looks OK

there was a 30 minute spot on this sunday morning... interesting stuff
The New Hooligans of Russia
They battle in the forest, soccer gang against soccer gang. They are the underground fighters the World Cup host doesn't want you to see.
- Watch this:
https://www.youtube.…sted - And they took a lot of efforts to avoid opposite hooligans entering the country.
For example don't even try to get into rassia by car if you have a criminal bg.sted

I was able to talk a client into adding a raffle to his new promotion.
Everyone that fills out a credit application gets to chose their winner...if they chose the winning team, they are entered into a raffle, and the winner receives their car insurance paid for a year!

I read that Russian hooligan groups are fronts for trained and armed nationalist militias using the sports as an excuse to train and set up hierarchy, and the current regime is taking advantage of the coming world cup to crack down on them. For example, mass fights in forests have been raided and participants arrested.
BTW, looks like a good documentary-
- Russian hooligans next level, not even hooligans, as it says here, sober, working in teams, trained etc. The English got a kicking big time in marseilles, feelfadein11
- sorry for the innocent fans obviously but we've dished it out enough in the past. Was a wake up call for many. Unlikely to happen in world cup though, thosefadein11
- guys accept orders from the top down and it's not in Russian interest at all.fadein11
- I watched this its pretty interesting. They were speculating that the Russian FA from Putin down sponsored them to go to the Euro to send a message.lodef
- fade, have you heard anything about the English hooligans training for Russia? Getting ready for the pro hooligans there? taking it more seriously this time?_niko
- I don't mind the hand to hand stuff, it's great, it's when they pull out weapons or start head stomping or anything else while someone's defenceless on the grnd_niko
- as long as they beat the shit out of each other in a gentlemanly fashion i'm all for it lol._niko
- reminds me of why I love hockey, play hard, maybe have a scrap or two, shake hands at the end and grab a beer lol._niko
- I respect the polish hooligans, they go into a forest on match day to fight. some will be able to watch the game from a hospital bed, or at least listen to it.sted

I'm creating a QBN league here -
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/fant…
There's an option to have an entry fee / prize fund. Any thoughts?
- I think £2 entry. Prizes for top 2. Or just me if nobody else joins.Fax_Benson
- I'm in, is there a league set up already?_niko

Dunno who will win, like some of the odds for group play. Gets harder to wager on later rounds because everybody's great and anything can happen. But in group play, liking
Panama, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Japan under 1.5 points; France under 7.5 points; Portugal under 5.5 points; Morocco over 2.5 points; Tunisia over 2.5 points.
Mulling over Iceland under 2.5 points.

Ramadan leaves Muslim World Cup players facing a tough choice.
Specially while sunrise is at 3am and sunset at 9pm.

While it must suck for muslim players, it's good news for Uruguay :P

I got France in the Sweepstake. Moderately happy with that I suppose. Lets look at the successful teams in the last 30 years...
Germany 90, 14
Italy 90, 06
Brazil 94, 02
Spain 10
France 98I suppose Argentina probably deserve to win most. They have been in the final for 4 out of the last 5 Copa Americas finals and 2 out of the last 7 World cups finals. But won nothing! And they have the best player to ever do it in their team.
Them or England ;-)
