OK what do you think will be big in the design world in 2015.
To start im thinking hamburger menus on websites will become mainstream (im already seeing signs of this)

Websites for iPhone 7 which will have a slightly bigger screen.

High-DPI Interfaces & media queries will hit you, flat design will still be a thing (which is nice imo).
In general I think people in the western world will demand more Luxury products and brands in their daily life, so more middle-class products will try to get a luxist-like finish. For us meaning even bigger images with less text, spacious letters and more white space.
Maybe we'll se smart watches as a next standard device for displaying content, more like small teasing content, encouraging you to read furhter on your phone. It's our task now to make a useful connection between them.

For web design;
Flat design all copycat of UI themes we see everywhere.
Design used to be really diversified, now everything look the same. It look good, but we seriously lack creativity and originality. Everyone try to make websites like Squarespace themes and other similar services.
We used to build our own websites guise, why many of us are PAYING monthly fees to have something unoriginal with Squarespace?

Last weekend I took a look at book I own from Taschen called "Web Design: portfolio", it shows screenshots of like 500 websites. It's dated from 2004.
I noticed how diversified and creative all those websites were back then compared to now. The same book today could not exist, because every website look the same.- I think you're being unnecessarily negative. There are far better sites around now than there were 10 years ago.********

2015 we start using an ACTUAL hamburger icon for the menu. Makes perfect sense. What's typically on a menu? Burgers.
