How do you go about previewing pantone colors for the screen? Order an rgb equivalent of a pantone book?
Or is it just more common to choose the color in its rgb form and then chose a pantone to match?

it will always be a bit flat with pantone colors cause they're for print and all. if you want bright things gotta make an RGB equivalent, but then you're comparing swatches in real life to screen colors, which then change depending where your monitor is and its brightness.

The problem I am having is when I select a pantone color it shows a flat version. Not sure how to get the brighter version from the start.

ahh so if i want to preview other pantones i need to create a new swatch every time..

Create a new swatch with the corresponding RGB Values.

I'm trying to preview Pantone 337U in illustrator. The file is already created and previews fine but if I go into color books and choose Pantone+Solid Uncoated 337U it doesn't show as a bright rgb color. It shows as a flat cmyk color.
I've tried pasting it into both rgb and cmyk files and the same thing happens.
Any clues on how to keep it looking like an rgb color? I need to shift this color slightly and need to see what it looks like digitally.
