I find the question a bit misleading as well.
Instead of asking what colour do you see in the photo in the dress. They asked 2 set of colour.
Especially WHEN THERES NO WHITE OR BLACK SHOWN ONTHE DRESS IN THE PHOTO!!

I don't get it.

I agree with the general view here, it should NOT have been on the news etc. There are much important matters to cover, however please don't let a dress stress you out :)

This is a true semantic nightmare when you think about it.
"What colors do you see?" vs "What color is the dress?" are such different things.

the color is UGLY

Ok, fuck this dress. Saw it as white and gold last night, and early this morning (7:30 am or so). A co-worker came into to ask me about it 5 minutes ago, and I'm like "If you think that's blue and black, you're an idiot". Well, I look at his phone, and it's blue and black!!! Come back here, BLUE AND BLACK!!
Mind fuck indeed.

The question you must ask yourselves is if it is the reptilian eyes of the overlord invaders actually causing the difference in perception or not.

Still can't believe anybody describe that they saw black or white.
No where on the dress has either colour.
Blue and brown seem to be the other answer nobody's talking about.
