not overly impressed with the tired branding 'n app ui. an instant turn-off for me. maybe it'll get sexed up eventually but no excuse really given the initial massive launch exposure they knew they'd get... and apparently also attempting to go toe to toe with FB re privacy. interesting tho.

so long as it's truly 100% encrypted it will become popular among many. and looks like it has a rewards program in place to help users promote their posts for free, which is refreshing.

looks like its servers are getting hit hard tonight, super laggy. app barely pulls in any data at this point, search page with trends etc is empty and even i deleted a post it remains in the news feed but not on my home page, etc.

Would be funny if this was actually set up by scientologists.

Hmmm. Hemlis, a similar encrypted network made by people connected to the original Pirate Bay, recently had to stop development - they seemed genuine about their plan to create a secure messaging system for the benefit of its users. Minds has an *awful* lot of mealy-mouthed 'we reserve the right to...' language in their T&C's, as if they are setting it up purely as a business venture to be bought by a wealthy benefactor.

I dont believe anonymous has the cash for the domain name. unless it was registered pre 1996 one of their geeks.
- What a stupid thing to say.monospaced
- ok. why dont you go get a top level domain now. like mono.com try to get it if you didnt register back in the day. see how much it would cost.yurimon
- I see, and I still think your comment is idiotic. Sorry we disagree, but that's not really a big number in the scheme of things.monospaced
- I think it matters what type of organization they are. who funds them.yurimon
- no shit, and obviously you don't "believe" they are one that can afford it, which I feel is idiotic, because they obviously canmonospaced

Awful branding, terrible design.
