Two men, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman who assisted the President’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani, were just arrested while trying to flee the country on charges that they laundered Russian money into Republican political campaigns. They recently bought one way tickets out of town and were arrested at the airport.

True story. In 2004, I was going door to door to register voters in a mixed-income community. At one house, this guy came tearing out through the screen door at me, screaming stuff, and I jumped back off the porch, briefly fearing what he was going to do. Turned out he just wanted to rant. He yelled, "I wouldn't vote for either of those motherfuckers!" he yelled. "They're all a bunch of assholes! Tell you what's ruining this country is the socialists! They're all socialists! I'm getting the fuck out of this country!" At this point I'd recovered my equilibrium a little, and I asked him, "Where are you thinking of going?" He said, "Canada!"
I said, "But it's socialist." And he said, "Yeah, well at least I'd get healthcare!"
When I hear these dumb fucking Trumpers, Tea Partiers and so on, I always think about that guy. I'm sure he's still pissed at the socialists who are ruining whichever country he lives in.
