I've noticed I'll take a screenshot w/ CMD SHIFT 4 s per usual and it'll save to desktop and other folders will suddenly move from positions on left over to the right grouping for no apparent reason, rearrange randomly.
- Innovation!utopian
- You just didn't know you needed that. Now that Apple told you, you can rejoice.ETM
- You don't have it to arrange items by name or something? That could be the cause.monospaced

- No I have twenty folders over here and over there and everywhere, snap to grid onlyprophetone
- Take a screenshot, it pops up in next avaiable position on right as always but then (some) folders will move from left area to rightprophetone
- this is a new weirdo issue that I've never seen until Sierra install recentlyprophetone
- and happens randomlyprophetone
- weirdmonospaced
- it's as if items want to move back to their prev position after I created a folder or screenshot and dragd em to another spotprophetone

Anyone else that upgraded experiencing a lag when creating new folders and naming them?
I hot key a new folder and start typing and it just misses the first few letters everytime based on some shitty lag.
Also hot keying things to the trash is so slow!!!!

Did anyone else who uses a wacom tablet do the update and now have problems? It won't click when i want it to, or where i want it to. Also it double clicks on it's own and fucks shit up.
I knew i shouldn't upgrade. Overtime i do this something is screwed up. Why do I do this to myself!!!!
- HA—never update!studderine
- see that's why i go with clean system all the times.
your settings file was migrated with the update as well so you're fucked.sted - this:

What's the point in this upgrade? Is there anything significantly different over El-Capitan? I seem to miss an entire upgrade now as I don't see the point in most of the inane new features

I'm running it since launch on my Mac Pro and more recently on my hackintosh. No issues at all, but I guess it depends on the apps you use.

Anybody any good hacks for the terminal to disable all the crap bloatware that Apple include these days, I want to run a tight solid ship with none of the animation and transparency enabled if possible. Just get on to the computer and get things done in as quick as possible way. Workflow wise at least.
- Easily Googled; some may not work for older versions (http://www.defaults... I use Cocktail to diddle with that stuff myself.evilpeacock

Ah, sounds good. I keep my Adobe apps up to date, but I always read scary stuff about OS X updates. It's been long enough though so I figured it should be ok to upgrade now. Thanks.
- My upgrade went smoothly. I don't have a super recent mac, either. 2014 iMac, 2011 iMac, 2013 MBP - all running Sierra fine so farGnash
- I'm on a 2015 MBP at home. Sounds like it should be fine.CincodeMayo
- since19790
if you have modern apps all updated you should have no problems. only users with legacy apps may encounter some issues

Assuming Sierra is OK to upgrade to at this point? Anyone have any issues with Sierra and Adobe CC 2017? I've been holding out but thinking it's probably time to update.
Green light?
- Continuity1
None here. I'm running it on my mid-2014 MBP, and it performs solidly.
- What about with creative cloud?Hayoth
- Not that I can tell...skwiotsmith
- Any issues I've had with CC have come from CC itself, not so much the OS.Continuity

anyone still having problems?

Photoshop CC 2014 crashes 100% when saving for web. Backpedalling to El Cap until the bullshit settles. (If it settles.)
- upgrade CC not OSmoldero
- Why u using 2014? Pirated?qoob
- We use 2014. No crashes.monospaced
- Latest CC works fine with some minor bugs I've seen, mostly in After Effects display of composition titles when renaming.evilpeacock

I'm still running Yosemite
✓ Fuck El Capitan
✓ Fuck Sierra- i never used to debate apple updates till recently with capitanyurimon

- El Capitan was Yosemite optimized, really solid.evilpeacock
- yeh el capitan is good. best since snow leopard.inteliboy

Installed it on my home iMac last night, and will see how it goes before diving in on the studio Mac. So far, so good. Nothing in particular stands out, although the login via Apple Watch is kinda nice. The universal clipboard has potential of being useful too.

im super hesitant .. El Capitan has been a complete clusterfuck for me.. crashing constantly without allowing to force quit, weird shit happening all the time.
i would move to Sierra just to try and get away, but i cant afford the downtime
- it's true the newest OS works better on the newer machines ... my older iMac has random issues once in awhile, but the newer MBP from work is seamlessmonospaced

El Cap was super solid for me even with loads of third-party stuff and on older hot-rodded 2010 hardware, but I run a very tight ship and know what I'm doing.
Yosemite wasn't as good, mostly because of the "DiscoveryD" process, possibly the worst mistake I've ever suffered from Apple. And it didn't run as fast as El Cap.
So far Sierra seems really solid, with some minor cosmetic issues with a few apps. The new flagship features aren't really my cup of tea either, but there are lots of little things that are welcome.
I'd still recommend running any available updates for any non-Apple software you have before upgrading. Also doing a thorough backup before any major OS upgrade should be standard. Be mentally prepared for something do go wrong, don't upgrade in the middle of a big project, etc.
