If anyone here can help me with this I'll appreciate it.
I used to have every contact with my phone, show up on the desktop version of the Messages app, but now for some reason when I'm texting with someone, on my phone shows their name and info but on the desktop version just shows their phone number.
I think it might be because I touched something I shouldn't on my iCloud settings, but I can't get it back to normal.
Anyone knows how to fix this?

Hey Buddy! Mine is doing the same thing. Info on phone and in contacts, but phone number on my messages app on my desktop. Good question.
- oh, I wonder if it's a bug from apple then..Miguex

Make sure your contacts are synced to iCloud and not google or something else.

I tried, I even went to some apple forums hoping to find an answer but can't get it right for some reason, any chance you can post a screengrab on how do you have it on your settings in order to get it syncing?
or anyone that has this working alreadyI know it has to be something with contacts not being read from desktop, because if I fill the contact info manually on the computer then they will show fine, but ideally I would like for the computer to use the info I already have on my phone.

Make sure your contacts are synced. Make sure your using the same Apple ID on both. For example, I use an old @Mac address, which also works with @Me and @icloud. Make sure its the same on all devices.

have you tried removing that re-adding the account on desired device?
