Armie Hammer’s Hollywood Career Is in Freefall as Sex Scandal Explodes on Social Media: https://variety.com/2021/film/ne…

Unverified messages have been blasted across social media, reportedly showing Hammer chatting with several women in explicit conversations displaying his fetishes, where he allegedly expresses his sexual appetite to drink blood, cut toes and enslave sex partners. The messages, allegedly sent by Hammer, describe rape fantasies. One of Hammer’s exes told a tabloid the actor wanted to barbecue and eat her rib. Another ex said in a media interview that he carved his initial into her skin on her pelvis, engaging in “knife play” in the bedroom. Beneath the salacious accusations, which have turned into a media spectacle, the women say Hammer’s sexual proclivities are being used as a smokescreen, and are accusing him of emotional abuse, manipulation and coercion.

There‘s so much more on this account, for example: https://www.instagram.com/p/CK04…

Insane stuff. MM was truly a sociopath, possibly even pedophile.

In this music video he probably re-enacted what he does in private life.

I dated a who a girl not too long ago who was raped by a celeb that everyone (almost literally) on this earth knows. He's always on talk shows and being interviewed and invited to various celeb-filled events. Anyway, he was in her hometown one day at a club and had one of his people invite her to his table. He made all kinds of suggestions about how he could help her business and eventually invited her to leave her friend behind and go with him to his hotel. When they got to his hotel he kept handing her drinks. The next thing she knew, she was waking up that next morning with his fingers inside her. She felt confused about the situation and didn't feel comfortable talking about it at length (understandable).

Fast-forward to several months later. One of her idiot guy friends who she was having a spat with, knew about the situation (which she was telling everyone about, but oddly leaving out the ending) tried to blackmail this celeb. So the celeb had his assistant reach out to her to basically make friends and ensure that if this were to get out or go to court that she would testify on the celeb's behalf. The assistant stayed in contact with her, keeping the conversations casual, and eventually offered to meet her for a 'fun business brunch' to discuss ways they could maybe help her business (this is still the assistant btw, not the celeb). When I pleaded with her to not go, she got defensive, stating that girls like her don't get many opportunities like this and that it could really help her career. We stopped talking shortly thereafter (for other reasons) but in the end the friend eventually had his bluff called and he never followed through with his threats to out the celeb, so I have no idea where things left off with her. But I'm just waiting for the day that someone outs this guy. And I'm curious, depending on whether she's gotten from him what she can use to further herself and her career, whether she'll jump on the bandwagon and cry foul.

It's a sad situation. Everyone in that story is a part of the problem. The celeb for using his influence to bait and manipulate a young girl (23 at the time). The young girl for tolerating his actions and willingness to help cover them up (to "save his marriage", reputation, etc. and further her name and associate with him) in spite of the obvious trauma it caused her. The assistant for being an accomplice to this whole situation. And finally, the asshole 'friend' for, well... for just being an asshole.

The thing is, in many other situations like this, trying to make every a clear case of the female being the victim is ignorant and undermines the efforts by those girls/women who are trying to spread awareness of the actual issue but struggle with abusive relationships because of mental health issues, or hoping to fix/rehabilitate the man, or save the relatioship, or family/kids, etc.

Having said that, these girls who fully understand what kind of trouble they are getting into with celebs but do it for the clout or to further their career only to later suffer the inevitable (bold, italicize, and underline that) emotional trauma/regret that comes with that kind of exchange - they are enabling other non-victims to do the same thing and destroying many innocent lives and the lives of anyone in their wake. What's that called? Oh yeah a sociopath... We need to stop enabling them.

Something a bit random: I‘m surprised Manson‘s net worth is „only“ $10 million. I thought it would be way higher. He was a mainstream rock star after all. But that explains why he was only able to afford houses for about $1-2 million in LA/ Hollywood Hills.

Trent Reznor‘s net worth is about $80 million. And I think MM was more mainstream than NIN.

    • Reznor likely has mad production / publishing credits as well as a ton of movie scores.DaveO
    • Manson probably spent a lot of it on drugs booze and hookers, then wasted the rest!DaveO
    • I would say NIN and Trent are far more mainstream. He's also not a total freak. And like DaveO says, movie scores and Disney $ toomonospaced
    • It‘s still a low net worth for MM if you compare to many other musicians. Even his former drummer Ginger Fish has a $7M net worth.NBQ00
    • Who knows maybe he did waste it somewhere.NBQ00
    • Trent is way more than 8xs more talented and smarter than Brianfooler
    • True truemonospaced
    • @fooler Nine (Inch Nails) times more talented!Krassy
    • Here’s some stuff he bought https://www.thetalko…scarabin
    • That's not that expensive for a celeb of his status. Not like he spent tens of millions for multiple houses or other lavish things.NBQ00
    • So it's rather strange. I would assume his net worth should be at least $50M-100M if you consider all the decades of album sales and touring.NBQ00
    • Singer Yolandi from Die Antwoord has a $10M net worth too and MM is way bigger, longer in the industry, sold more records and toured in front of bigger crowds.NBQ00
    • Most money comes from having good management. Investments, not just royalties.nb
    • nb is right. Maintaining wealth through responsible management is paramount when you're wealthymonospaced
    • Maybe MM had too many media & entertainment subscriptions going on.NBQ00
    • Ok so now I know what happened. Manson got sued by former band member Pogo because MM squandered band‘s monies on many things including Nazi memorabilia.NBQ00
    • MM lost the lawsuit and most of his money (and a house apparently too).NBQ00
    • Pogo also said he and other band members got screwed and weren‘t paid the promised share by MM.NBQ00

    _niko

this blame the victim thing is bullshit. "What did she expect" is the kind of crap that men used to say about sexy women who were raped

I have first hand experience with victims of abuse and it is truly damaging and real. Just saying 'they should leave' is so glib

Watch 'What's love got to do with it" and see how you feel afterwords.

What reason does a successful actress have to come out and do this? Then a bunch of other women?

Of course it all needs to be looked at objectively. But there is no upside to a victim coming out like this, except to:
    - Heal for themselves...because abusive relationship are toxic and hard to get over
    - Prevent it from happening to others

You think all these women got together and just said 'let's fuck up MM, we just don't like him!'

The example of that is Tara Reade, who accused Biden. The details were looked into, and it was clear that her allegations did not hold up. So it can happen.....but that does not appear to be the case here.

A lot of women, corroboration....the pushback is weak.
    so glib

Watch 'What's love got to do with it" and see how you feel afterwords. It is scary when Ike Turner winds up alone with Tina.

And the fact that Dita von Teese came out and said that was not her experience does not invalidate the claims. Think about what she said about why she left him, after a year of marriage:

"I left 12 months later due to infidelity and drug abuse"

    Well then....all good then....?

    • sorry for the long rant. I just cannot bear those statement blaming the victim.dkoblesky

I love and respect Trent highly but he‘s a bit of a hypocrite now in regards MM. Saying that he cut ties with him 25 years ago when that‘s not quite true. They were on and off in contact together. Examples being MM appearing in NIN‘s Starfucker Inc. video and in early 2000‘s them performing live on stage at each other’s shows many times. Also just 3 years ago Trent sent an email to MM reconciling and saying how he misses the times when music was dangerous during their era.

Anyway I‘m curious how this all plays out for Manson and if he‘ll see any consequences that are bigger than what is now. Maybe even jail-time a la Harvey Weinstein.

    • I saw the Downward Spiral tour with NIN, Manson & Jim Rose Circus. It was freighting. Especially with the teenage girls yelling "I wanna F U like an animal !!!"fooler

    • Its naive to think its impossible that five people cant coordinate a character hit. That said, if its true, he should get his just deserts.cannonball1978
    • good point @ dkobleskyGuyFawkes
    • so if a musician's music is intense then you should expect that they will abuse you?

      that is a bullshit argument

    • This is ridiculous. Relationships are traumatic for all concerned. Nobody gets out alive. And she looks like a fucking coke-head anyway.Khurram
    • And where exactly is the sexual harassment?? "oh the record company has secret information!" lol What a load of bollocks.Khurram
    • That's fucking horrible, Khurram. Genuinely. Meathead stuff.Fax_Benson
    • I'm sorry you feel that way Fax. I've had personal experience with girlfriends in the past with substance abuse issues, including having kitchen knives pulledKhurram

    • Exactly mate. Exactly.Khurram
    • I'm sorry you were in a shit situation. And I believe the story, despite the lack of evidence.Fax_Benson
    • As a lifelong fan, I don’t doubt any of it.scarabin

    • Not saying he‘s an angel but they were together for 3 years and almost married and no evidence that he did what she claimed.NBQ00
    • why is he not an angel then? If you don't believe her at least commit to it.Fax_Benson
    • what about the other women?dkoblesky
    • abuse is complicated, can involve manipulation like she suggests. of course it may not be true. but her being with him not necessarily proof of his innocencedkoblesky
    • There's something inherently unfair about this 'trial by media'. Whether or not MM was abusive it's incredibly difficult to have any kind of objective view...Morning_star
