I have this stone countertop texture and I keep trying tons of things in photoshop and cant make it 100% perfect. When I tile it, there is always a noticeable seam. Did a bunch of tutorials so far. How the hell do you do this?
It looks to me like it should be really easy to tile but there is just always something there that gives it away as tiling. So annoying.

Ive already tried that method a few times. Always something there giving it away as being a tile.
- try to get rid of any major visual eye-catchers that would break up the seamlessnessmonospaced
- Its really hard. Ive done like 20 versions of this and just cant get it to be 100% perfect.CygnusZero4

- I didnt try it yet but what did you do?CygnusZero4
- It looks like there is 2 dark horizontal lines across the middle and bottom though. When I tile this 15 times thats really going to stand out.CygnusZero4
- sorry, but you crazy, Cygnus, there are no dark horizontal lines through thismonospaced
- I see the bands.johnny_wobble
- They're subtle but there. About a 1/3 down, then almost at the bottom, about 5/6ths down. Almost like a softened blur.ETM
- ^ yes. Ill try it anyway.CygnusZero4

If you do the offset filter on your image and do a harsh curves adjustment you can still see the seam. I'd do the offset effect and then use clone brush to better blend that seam.

With terrazzo stone, when you tile the image rotate it instead of just duplicating it horizontally or vertically. Use different amounts each time, erase any obvious hard lines.
- exactly! its uploading now...helloeatbreathedrive

- I see the bands again. Its a big tic tac toe shape. Must be something from the original image.CygnusZero4
