"The Sun emitted a strong solar flare, peaking at 1:09 p.m. EDT on June 20, 2023. NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory, which watches the Sun constantly, captured an image of the event."

It's amazing to me how utterly perfunctory most SpaceX launches have become. This mission*, from just now, is an ISS carg0 support mission and the rocket was used for a fifth time, landing successfully, the 198th successful landing of an orbital rocket.
There's not a single other company or organisation that has even accomplished this once.
*heck, why even call it a mission any more? It's kinda like those thousands of chumps climbing Everest and insisting on calling the jaunts 'expeditions'.

* Note: I don't know if it's the final color, but it's very "dark", closer to what Alien anticipated, rather than 2001 space odyssey... it gives me negative connotations.
- OK. Uh. No. Despite the presence of the fluorescent orange here and there, wouldn't something that dark get lost against the blackness of, you know ... SPACE?Continuity

- I would've thought that purely physically it'd be simpler and more preferable to have white suits, but I don't think it's a major concern to not have them so.Nairn
- i'm curious to know why they've gone this route - presumably there must be a reason? I think practical restrictions like visibility are moot...Nairn
- ..if the suit's that far away and doesn't have energy/etc, they're fucked anyway. could do some cool things with LEDs or eLight inserts and such.Nairn

- Without watching the vid, I'm going to guess it's because if you're on an orbital spacewalk, you're in front of a giant fucking mirror (Earth) causing all sortsContinuity
- ... of light pollution. Unless, of course, you're on the dark side of Earth, then it should be a bit better.Continuity
- Without watching - it's because stars (much like birds) are a government construct. We've been lied to for thousands of years now. STOP PAINTING THE SKY.Nairn
