We have our 1st big lockdown here in Catalonia, starting midnight (1 hour and half from now) nobody enters or leaves Igualada plus other 3 towns. Around 60k people.

Many folks on here in studios are work from home now, my girlfriend (off on paid leave from Monday from her job managing a tattoo parlour), my best mate (manages a hair salon, also making plans for closing for 2 weeks to protect staff).
All schools and universities in the Republic of Ireland are closed, a good few in England closing tomorrow. Yet my university sends out an email this afternoon saying they're canceling all events over 1000 people :-D
I'm showing my face on Monday but then fucking right off home for the rest of the week until they catch up... Inevitably they'll cancel lectures and switch to remote learning next week after spreading the virus around a bunch of kids (the first recorded case here was on our campus)... only to disperse them home around the country to infect their mom and pops. Fuck that noise!
All solutions now should be a global effort... No more waiting for bumbling fuck-tard prime ministers and presidents to ignore the lessons from China & Italy and roll out unique, archaic staged action plans...

Went into a Waitrose supermarket in central London today, near the universities - many students inside the supermarket prep buying, many Chinese students with masks on... and absolutely no pasta left on the shelves.
So little old me walks over to the flour section where it looks normal, well stocked, and got me some type 00 pasta flour.
Made my own pasta.

Coronobonus: One of my mates that's we've been keeping an eye on recently... depressed and on the sick from work after a relationship broke down seems to have found a new lust for life (does not seem to want to die as much) now there's a pandemic on the loose.

LA was looking a bit panicked today - in the pouring rain no less. It's no longer toilet paper isles that are looking bare as it was just two days ago. Canned foods, pasta, rice, all being picked through. I walked by the canned soup section and grabbed the last of what was clearly the flavor that most people would rather starve than eat: cream of celery. Lucky for me, I love the stuff *emoji shrug*
Starting to see more masks on people too. If this is a glimpse of what's to come, the virus may not turn out to be our biggest enemy..

Khabib VS Tony could be cancelled! For anyone following the UFC this is huge... the fight has been cancelled already 4 times in the past for various reasons... everyone was pumped for this. The fight is in a month. But i know the safety of everyone is most important, i hope they will do it in an empty arena at least, i dont know, the fight is planned in NYC.

We've reached a peak today with the COVID-19, the whole day was a roll of breaking news and announcements regarding the current situation. I think its a good thing, the whole World seems to take this very seriously and many countries/cities are taking action to stop the virus as quickly as possible.
How many events in the History ended up with "We could have done more" ...
If you dont really care about the COVID-19 or think this isnt that bad, dont forget that thing has the potential to plunge us all into a recession... and that would affect EVERYONE. Its one of the reason why its so important to stop it as quick as possible.
I know I compared it to common flu a few days ago and some of you thought i was banalising it, yeah its true i thought the medias and the people was overreacting a bit back then, but now i understand how important it is to take action now to stop it quickly.
