I think the people at Trader Joe's are happier and like their jobs more than I do. I don't like staying home and staring at my computer.

- I avoid that place in NYC, I get to claustrophobic now. Do employees still dress in Hawaii shirts??robotron3k
- is this your computer? https://live.staticf…SlashPeckham
- TJs is the only store in nyc taking it seriously. They only let in a small handful of people and staff are vigilant about spacing. Super awesome.monospaced

- Wonder if agency folk's cocaine supply is as good as usual. Surely that's what keeps the ideas flowing?PhanLo
- A friend of mine says her weed guy is having supply chain issues. So I'm guessing the it's the same story for blow.Continuity

I've never seen Lowe's this busy, so consistently, ever in my life.
Quarantine = home improvement in the midwest.- Agreed. All I've been doing the past month is home projects and landscaping.aslip
- Yep. Me too. Taking a break from a project right now.lemmy_k
- I've torn apart my entire back yard, removed a few stumps and raspberry berry bushes and sanded my deck.fooler
- Yeah man, I went there on Sunday. As I was standing in line a guy came out pointing at the social distancing between people. "5ft! 5 1/2 ft! better watch..bezoar
- ...out or the boogey man is gonna get ya!"bezoar

- We already have a bar here on top of a building that was using "igloos" in winter, for privacy https://i.imgur.com/…grafician
- so they aren't open yet and this is dependent on planning approval.
Congrats to the PR agency.webazoot - tlimbecile
- Fuck me what season of black mirror are we in now?_niko
- It's kinda cool and I can imagine this even pre-epidemic. Your own private room kinda, and you keep the door open. I like it.monospaced

El Chapo's sons impose coronavirus lockdown and torture violators

Somehow I've settled in very well to to this life in the last couple weeks. Anxiety chest pains are gone, the news doesn't shock me anymore and most of it seems like a waste of time. Family is doing OK, weather is getting nice, started exercising again and busy with some fun projects at work.
Keepin' on keepin' on.

- I also had some anxiety pains, at least I hope they were .monospaced

I don't want to wear nice clothes around the house but I've run out of beat up tees and sweats and don't feel like doing laundry.

Picking up on mg33's comment (and not directed at him or anyone). I think quite a lot of people are quietly going to miss the current situation as lockdowns get lifted.
Back to work but with a lingering fear, no socialising, no restaurants, gigs and pubs - but the government tracks where you do go. And anywhere nice outside is going to be absolutely full of cunts - especially compared to the peace and quiet we're now used to.
- obviously not universal - lots of people equally desperate for it to end for all sorts of reasons.Fax_Benson
- I agree...I can't see myself going to any restaurants, bars or events for the foreseeable future.utopian
- I usually work from home... I just want my girlfriend to go back to work :Dkingsteven
- ^OBBTKN
- Honestly, I don't want it to stop. I grew to like the quiet and the pace of life. My natural misanthropy and nihilism contributes a fair bit to that sentiment.Continuity
- Just become a freelancer/independe... contractor in whatever line of work you're in...you can easily live like this forever.yuekit
- It actually surprises me how new a concept working remotely is for a lot of people.yuekit
- Working remotely is fine if it's on the terms you decide. Forced working from home with two kids around, fearful of your income, is TOUGH.DaveO

Professional Footballers' Association chief executive Gordon Taylor has suggested halves of less than 45 minutes could be considered when football resumes...
- I can't work out the thinking behind that one?webazoot

- Might be just me but I cringed the whole way through.scruffics
- Watched it yesterday. The end is funny, the rest is a bit too posed and too cliché (like the woman catching the laundry basket). Jumping from roof was fun.SimonFFM
- @scruffics not just you. As a bmxer, all mountain bikers and trials types are kooks to me.garbage
- i mean, i don't do BMX or anything like that but i did land a kickflip less than 15 years ago. that's enough to let me have an opinion on this, right? :)scruffics
- lol most certainly, especially when your opinoin is spot on.garbage
- @scruffics that justifies everything :)sted
