ever thought about just logging out and wandering off, ideaist?
I've noticed you labeling folks 'problematic user' here and there too... seems you're probably to good for the Qube? ...odd you stick around.

everything's turned to shit, QBN is holding up OK in the circumstances.
- It's probably the best it's been in ages. Far less pointless arguing than usual. Not that I ever did that :)fadein11

This is at best a reaching out to say I miss normality in this community whatever that looked like.
Cherish this tribe.
- Oh, dear.
You're on which glass of booze, now? 3? 4?Continuity - 3.
Can't a guy be honest on QBN with OR without booze!?ideaist - No way. No way. Whenever the 'I LOVE YOUSE GUISE' comes out, there's always booze involved.Continuity
- This reminds me, I need to put some beers in the fridgedmay
- Men can only be emotional with booze.
Life 101, eh?
Haha.ideaist - I'm on dark rum and Orangina on ice #2, and I still think you're all cunts. Except Nairn. He's just unlucky.Continuity

Seems to me QBN is currently an outlet for all of us to confide / blow off steam with each other about the current state of the world. Considering we're all in similar professions, there's an element of mutual respect that allows us to practice "societal regurgitation" without any sort of mass judgement (sort of) from social networks and even family...
Although I really miss the type of distraction QBN once was; especially the old front page, it seemed to keep creativity the focus of conversation.
- @ayport = My sentiments exactly.ideaist
- I came for design finds & humour, but it swerved hard to opinion forum. TDS infection everywhere, well beyond the DT thread, which I provoke for entertainmentBustySaintClaire

Design & creativity got boring in like 2014’ish or so.

It's just the times, innit? I presume many people aren't working as they normally are and have their heads buried in the shit storm that is 2020. Design as a profession takes a back seat a bit.
There are still people posting design stuff occasionally and, more interestingly, stuff they're farting around with at home.
Personally, I really appreciate the sciencey Coronavirus posts from some of the less froth-mouthed, slightly more high-foreheaded QBNers (you know who you are), but I get where you're coming from - there is a LOT of it, and unfortunately, some of it is absolute bilge.
The social media crap regurgitation's annoyed me for a few years now, so I agree with you there - especially all these shitty, shitty histrionic ALL CAPS YouTube videos, often with some bullshit political or slightly sinophobic angle.
- Frankly, 2020 is feeling to me like a great big long bank holiday Tuesday, but I'm not really minding it.Continuity

I remember a post made by QBN a few years ago that said something along the lines of "Be the QBN you want to see."
