- congrats to your first nft anniversary you are pushing the limits....neverscared
- to gas us all to death with co2 .. ;) just kidding..tezos forever right ?neverscared
- Certainly on most of my latest generative works are all tezos based. Gas prices really priced me out of minting on FND. But they seem to have got sensible againmicrokorg
- Couple of tezos generative projects in the works for when fxhash relaunches out of Beta. And another AI series that may be my first mints on OpenSea.microkorg
- Also an audio/video piece thats already finished but Im not sure what to do with yet.microkorg
- How much $ have you madedrgs
- I've not 'cashed' any NFT earnings into FIAT. In terms of value currently in crypto I've got more than I've ever earned in a year doing freelancing on the side.microkorg
- And probably the same again in terms of NFT's I've collected that've increased in value.
Nowhere near a Lambo yet!microkorg - So good, would love to see better resolution on some of the city sci-fi can't really tell what they areHayoth
- @microkorg, do you use Manifold for your contract or simply mint on the platforms?antimotion
- good for you.milfhunter
- i guess if u cant even put a price on what your value is you have earned its kinda fugazi fake, so more than freelance.. 6000 euro then ?neverscared
- Never. £12k sitting hard wallet. About the same worth in Jpegs I could sell today. Then my tezos collection.microkorg
- Antimotion, just use the platform contracts for the moment.microkorg
- Hayoth, all the 'sightings' pieces are on Foundation. You can click to see them high res there - then right-click-n-save ;) https://foundation.a…microkorg
- I've lost/invested about 20$ FYAT (mouthed as CHYNA) in minting and buying but art is priceless.palimpsest
- Thanks micro. I used to photoshop robots into classical oil paintingsHayoth

Why do all NFTs look the same?
Notes on the aesthetics of speculationA figure pulled from Minecraft, Minions, Fortnite, Looney Tunes, DeviantArt portraiture, the Are ya winning son meme, corporate illustration, or some other slice of the American vernacular is shown in three-quarter portrait on a field of bright colour, looking indifferent.
The figure is decorated with references to popular entertainment (Harley Quinn’s baseball bat, the three-eyed fish from The Simpsons, the floating orb of water from The Last Airbender, the face mask from Mad Max, Yugi-Yo’s hair, Venom’s teeth), popular consumption (bum bags, hoodies, puffer jackets, sneakers, vapes, tinted glasses, branded headphones, gold jewellery, takeout food containers), and crypto-specific symbols (laser eyes, diamonds, and currency icons).
The image is either a vector drawing or 3d-rendered, but in either case there is little suggestion of depth; every element is evenly lit and depicted in sharp detail as if it were pressed right against the image surface. There is a love for visual detail: every hair is precisely delineated, every piece of gold is polished, and cloth is carefully draped, lasers glow.
This description covers most non-fungible tokens at the top of OpenSea (the biggest website for buying and selling NFTs) on any given day. Why do all these images look so alike?

David Cronenberg to Unveil Kidney Stones as NFT
“This collection of my kidney stones was produced over a span of about two years. I call it my Inner Beauty collection, referencing a comment made by one of the twin doctors in my movie Dead Ringers, who wonders why there couldn’t be a beauty contest for the insides of the human body. Well, here’s my nominated candidate. I see in these kidney stones a luminous narrative generated by a group of my inner organs, a narrative as intimate as a person could imagine. I think each stone presents a unique aesthetic of structure, colour, and organic content that engages with the mystery of my essence, my reality, which is my body, inside and out. Not surprisingly, perhaps, the collection also references my new movie, Crimes of the Future, which stars Viggo Mortensen as a performance artist whose art form involves public surgery on his own body, during which strange new organs of unknown function are removed and displayed. Art always has the last word.”

- The more I watch their YT channel, the more I realise there's no way I'm buying NFTs without access to a tool like theirs.shapesalad
- This is a pretty epic tool, have watched professional 'flippers' videos showcasing it and how they use it. Definitely worth investing in if you want to buy/sellmicrokorg
- high end or high priced projects.microkorg
- Also worth keeping your eye on the tool to see when to sell the projects you're hodlingmicrokorg

- Watched through. More of a conversation on crypto than NFTs.microkorg
- ETH washtrading and inflated pricings aside it would be interesting to hear this guys take on Tezos & Tezos NFTs.microkorg
- Less destruction, tiny gas fees, more realistic art pricing, a thriving and growing market, artists getting paid for digital work...microkorg
- ..and esp doing amazing things for artists in poorer countries.microkorg
- is there actually some proofen data of the amazing work it does for poor countries or are u just yodeling some nft propagand.? thankful for any link thatneverscared

I recently took possession of my 3 year old's left leg, beneath the knee. I've made her agree to this and it's become A Stupid Thing we do and talk about (She's recently swapped left foot possession for right, then chin, then back to left foot. I'm encouraging a peculiar interpretation of ownership I fret).
I've been doing this about three weeks now, and it's only today occured to me that I could get her to issue an NFT. In fact, I could do that for my own limbs, appendages and body.
Has anyone done this so far? I doubt I'd get much for it otherwise, but if I were the first to sell my physical, corporeal being, it coudl have enough novelty to turn a buck or three?
Of course, I'm not going to do it, so if it's not been done - go for it.
I quite like the perversity of the concept.
- Sorry, obvs. I mean "if I were the first to sell non-fungible receipts for my physical, corporeal being". Selling bodies has been done forever.Nairn
- This could work better if I were into the application of poorly-considered tattoos.Nairn
