Why would I want the cars to slip on the ice and hit each other? I don't want that to happen. This makes it easier tomorrow to dig out the driveway, we just push the snow down the slope. Jeez Louise.

Why is it so hard to copy a complex text string from one computer to another?
It's 2020. I should be waving my hands and this shit Just Happens.

Am I wild, or am I domesticated? Or am I that hungry dog approaching the fringes of the ancient fireside, tempted by the smell of hot meat?

implicit or explicit that is the question.

- I assume you're being facetious, but the one thing I've never understood since being a kid is - why would anyone want to be famous?Nairn
- I mean stop-in- the-street famous.
I can't imagine anything more disrupitvely awful in my life.Nairn - +1 especially if you are famous for that one thing from decades ago and have all the fame but none of the money to go with it. Child actors. Must be brutal.monNom

I'm tired of designers being the only people required to have to walk through portfolios, wireframes, working files, and concepts when applying for jobs. Why don't product managers, marketing managers, developers, etc. need to go in-depth as much as designers?!?!? When you think about it, nobody else needs to jump through as many hoops as designers when it comes to applying for jobs.
You want to see case studies, working files, wireframes, etc. Do you want me to just show you how to do it all while I'm at it. I'm often finding myself asking the product managers the same questions and they get so defensive. I mean, they don't really do much anyway but take credit for design work so I thought it made sense to have the head of product walk me through his thinking for a recent project

An idle thought: "this thread is pretty much the same as the Blog thread"
- scarabin0
Is it possible bindegal is a “project” account designed to highlight the absurdity of whatever thread he posts in?
For instance, he ruined the “racist?” thread and got it canceled, as well as the muslim thread. Good riddance to both, honestly.
I wouldn’t eat half the crap he posts in the food thread.
Is he a legitimately unaware borat or a next-level troll superhero?

Do we know who the first person was who came up with the idea to invent the wheel and a “wagon” and use it to transport stuff?
- Before Europeans came, there was no wheel in north or South AmericaGnash
- So? The wheel was around in Europe long before they sailed over Americas.NBQ00

The pyramids of Egypt have been built by aliens. There’s no other way to explain the majestic feat in engineering without any sophisticated tools and machines.

- ...such wonders. Compounded over the years by HG Wells, Von Daniken and the like it is now a common misconception and an essentially racist position.Morning_star
- Not even Europeans could’ve built the pyramids. The ancient Egyptians were either much further in knowledge and technology than we thought or aliens.NBQ00
- There is so much math and precision in building all the pyramids and other things it’s just insane. On top of all the physical feat of actually building it.NBQ00
- Do you have a link or two that I could use to read up on. The mystery has always intrigued me but I’ve always felt that a more earthly explanation was likely...Morning_star

- Slaves theory has been debunked long time ago. It wasn’t slaves. All the workers were employed and well fed/ paid.NBQ00

- There's a good documentary called Stargate you should watch, it covers a lot of what is being discussed.PhanLo
