- regardless of what type of rocket it was it is rassas fault that this war exists. the internet decided that this is false, yeah right.sted
- why run circles around something that the real world has long accepted.sted
- I hope people notice this.MondoMorphic
- Read today Russia de-coupled a nuclear warhead from a rocket then shot it into Ukraine...
Explain that shit :)grafician

- Fuck you Uncle Tom Asian. You know NOTHING.Khurram
- lol...I'm not calling you a homophobe but this is the government you keep defending again and again. Isn't something like this just wrong?yuekit
- Sorry but I don't buy into the idea that it's Russian culture to hate gay people or that as a Chinese person I'm ethnically obligated to support Xi Jinping.yuekit
- You an American stooge, son, product of a colonized mind. Let me put it in simple terms for you...Khurram
- Russia is the little satan, the near enemy.
The US is the GREAT satan. The FAR enemy.Khurram - Can't remember which great man said that lolKhurram
- #voiceoftheglobalsou...Khurram
- Where does Canada fit in? The medium sized Satan? Are you gonna take down Trudeau?yuekit
- Stay on the topic of the thread you created. Keep my name outta yo' mouf.Khurram
- I'm not trying to attack you personally, it's more like I'm familiar with these ideas you keep posting and I think they're wrong.yuekit
- Like what does Putin seizing the Donbas region of Ukraine possibly have to do with "the Global South"? The greatest impact on developing countries has been foodyuekit
- shortages and people starving to death. Just because Putin cynically cites these ideas like "anti-colonialism" doesn't mean you need to buy into his bullshit.yuekit
- I also find it cringeworthy when Westerners (not you specifically) talk about the Global South and then proceed to characterize the views of people there, usingyuekit
- them almost as a prop in a political argument. In reality the average Global South person (to extent you can generalize 90% of humanity) probably has a positiveyuekit
- view of USA, isn't particularly political and is just living their life. Almost none of them are revolutionaries waiting to go to war against Great Satan USA oryuekit
- even medium tier Satan Canada. So there's a deeply condescending aspect to this worldview IMO.yuekit
- Like any other secondary civilization/group minority, they can only survive by having someone else to hate and fighting enemiesdrgs
- Its a deeply insecure country, which craves to be recognized by the West + at the same time condemns the West = delusion of persecutiondrgs
- If you listen to Russian nationalists explain their worldview it seems like dominant ideology in Russia is basically similar to alt-right shitposters on 4chan.yuekit

Russian parliament moves to widen prohibition against 'LGBT propaganda' to include adults
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022…
The new bill expands a 2013 ban on what authorities call "propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations" aimed at minors, by also prohibiting the spread of such information to people aged 18 and older.
It outlaws all advertising, media and online resources, books, films and theatre productions deemed to contain such "propaganda", a concept loosely defined in the legislation.
- they are adopting these laws from hungarysted
- It's been an element of the war all along weirdly enough... I remember when the invasion first happened the leader of Russian orthodox church framedyuekit
- this way.
https://www.ndtv.com…yuekit - I think this laws are directed against western influence and propaganda. that's what they want to block in the first place.uan
- the gay rights discussion internally in russia is something different.uan
- What Western influence, putting pronouns in your Twitter bio? Sounds to me like simply an ad featuring gay people would be banned under this lawyuekit
- it took an Olivero Toscani and 30years to make gay people be ad worthy in the west. and is still a subject of controversy in some regions.uan
- It's one thing to be more conservative but Putin literally amended the Russian constitution to ban gay marriage. I think it's fair to say he's somewhatyuekit
- obsessed with this issue, and uses fear/hatred of LGBT people as a strategy to control the Russian public.yuekit
- Some US states have the same laws, and we are fine with it
https://en.wikipedia…drgs - That's only targeted at kids school though, the Russian law is extending it to everything in society.yuekit

"An insane photo from Kharkiv, Ukraine today. Two police officers looking at a fragment pile of Russian rockets that hit Ukraine's second largest city. "
- Humans... use energy to extract minerals to forge metals. Use more energy to propel said metal at other humans. Some humans die, some have trauma. Metal rusts.shapesalad

"Raytheon CEO to

on U.S. weapon shortages after 9 months of war in Ukraine: "We've essentially used up 13 years worth of Stinger production and 5 years worth of Javelin production. So the question is, how are we going to resupply, restock the inventories?""

Aha, so this answers why that Drone hit Croatia all those months ago... https://www.forbes.com/sites/dav…
- They really are creative, these Ukrainians. Also, bonus points for using the Ruskies' old kit against them.Continuity

3 Russian airfields struck by Ukrainian drones deep inside Russia

Is this concerning? This is the recent-most in a line of exceptional advertisements about NATO's second strike capability, with rumblings from the USN for a few months now.
https://www.thedrive.com/the-war…
Sabre rattling, or are some in the military genuinely consideriing Some Other might risk a first strike attempt?
- I think it's *probably* just a friendly reminder to the Ruskies that releasing nukes wouldn't be in their best interest.
I hope.Continuity - But then, if the Ruskies need reminding that other countries in the world also have nuclear arsenals, that can't really be a good sign, either.Continuity
- The best way to spend taxpayer money.OBBTKN
- These war games are a total idiocy. But as long as you make your people believe that you will be able to win... eh! works!!OBBTKN
- Honestly, I feel like crying when I hear politicians speak in belligerent terms. Like a certain baroness... Sincerelly, f**k them!OBBTKN
- Where cost is concerned, there's not a hge difference between having such assets docked and have them fielded.Nairn
- Military spending grows if there is an enemy, if there isn't, do we invent or create it?OBBTKN
- The provocation is mutual, the business is mutual... while we fear they make money.OBBTKN
- Too bad I no longer work for the military sector ;)OBBTKN
- I think it's *probably* just a friendly reminder to the Ruskies that releasing nukes wouldn't be in their best interest.
