Hi There, Is it possible to guarantee an email to land in your spam folder? Its for a marketing idea, the tech team says there is probably no way. But what if you send the email from a script from a new IP address, wouldnt it be flagged right away and put in your spam folder?
Thanks

fuck up the DKIM, SPF records for the domain (that's the sthit with the ip ), spoof sender email address, there are a few ways, you can tailor these to your needs.
use a domain/ip you can burn on this because that IP is going to get flagged and systems like Outlook/Yahoo, or gmail is going to reject the emails after some time.(week or two)
you can use mxtoolbox to check how fucked up your setup is.

What sted says is true for about 99% of cases.
The edge cases where you absolutely cannot guarantee hitting spam folders are all the users who host their own email and have it set up (for whatever reason) to be able to see every email that comes in.

ye, just deleting the SPF record would get you half way there but i had a hacked domain blacklisted by google within 12 hours recently, they alerted me and i was able to catch it before it hit the other blacklists. not much of a gap to work with (especially if it's a campaign and your sending out lots of emails).

Oh nice! so as long as someone doesnt have their own email address set up, its pretty easy to trigger gmail and outlook spam filters.

Is there any risk of the email address you send it to? Would they get flagged it all, or is it just the sender?
