detritus - "For a start - I'd love to hear what you yourself do?"

last year dumped $15k in just materials and 1 year of time in our San Francisco house (did all the work myself + made a parts runner slave of the wife), to reduce our energy bill from $600/mo to $200/mo in winter.

this year, working on messaging for our sea food joint down here in Mexico, (menus, place mats, table displays, video, and the forever taking cartoon animations) to educate customers and their kids. + now using farm raised shrimp over ocean caught (most damaging in the fishing industry). we've been researching solar for the last few months and hoping to implement (at least for part of our energy usage) by the end of 2008. In the process of switching most of our produce to organic (not sure if that last one helps global warming though, the shrimp one either) :D

    • You should def. look into water-heating solar - that stuff's just incredible - relatively cheap, too.detritus
    • If you're now flying regularly between Mx and SF, you could've not bothered with the energy-saving renovations.. :\detritus
    • i havent been back to SF since we moved here last octobermoldero
    • SF sucks, surf is too cold, + we live by 3 world class surf spots here.moldero
