    In order to 'spend' my balance, and to actually even have a wallet, you need to d/l the entire blockchain, then generate a new wallet.

    ethereum.org is a good place to start learning.

    I also have setup an AWS cloud mining rig, at the time a price of 80c USD it was not economically viable to continue, I was mining one block about every 24-48hrs and the running cost was $) USD/day.

    If the price goes up though, I will be ready...but if the price goes up I assume the difficulty level will as well for mining.

    However, ETH does not allow for the crazy mining that is allowed by commercial miners within the Bitcoin landscape, so it should stay failry competitive even for mum and pop miners....
