Oh you gullible pussy. Just quit. There is no such thing as physical addiction, it's all in the mind. And with thought patterns like 'hope i manage to completely quit..' as if it's completely out of your hands and left to fate... you'll never quit. If you honestly want to quit just decide you are absolutely going to quit, and quit.
- easy as fucking pissset
- but, there is such thing as physical addiction, it's in the bio chemistry. On the other hand, I agree it's a majority will powermonospaced
- possibly, but not with tobacco. ALL in the mind.set
- its a fruitless debate though, as it could be argued that physicality itself is 'all in the mind' =Pset
- Of course physicality is in the mind, where else would it be?ukit
- I just said it could be argued that it is you cunt...set

Barbarians at the Gate is a television movie based upon the book by Bryan Burrough and John Helyar, about the leveraged buyout (LBO) of RJR Nabisco.
The film was directed by Glenn Jordan and stars James Garner as F. Ross Johnson, the CEO of R.J.R. Nabisco with plans to buy out the rest of the Nabisco shareholders. In the film, Johnson decides to take his company private after receiving advance news of the likely market failure of the company's smokeless cigarette called Premier

You need to start running. Exercise becomes a replacement - you get addicted to the endorphins .. over time you forget about cigs completely.
First few weeks should be spent away from bars / pub though.

I haven't had a cigarette in 28 days because i got an e-cig. I got the blu brand one with tobacco flavored vapor. It has not been easy, but not nearly as hard as the other times i've quit, cold turkey or otherwise.

I bought some. doesn't do the trick but it's nice to smoke indoor while rushing a project.

How do these help stop smoking? They still have nicotine in them, no?

Only way to quit is to just go cold turkey - true story

I used to smoke about 4-5 cigarettes a day. I easily smoked a whole cartridge in one day. It was new, easy, and fun. It has a sweet smell and taste, like smoking marshmallows. My body and clothes didn't smell like an ashtray. It was great, til I found out that one e-cigarette cartridge was equivalent to about 40 traditional cigarettes! Thankfully I was able to quit, using gums, and its been 395 days since I had a cigarette

Congrats omg.
I was on the gum to help me cut down but just ended up munching a lot of it and spending a silly amount of money. That's the reason I wasn't tempted by trying the e-cigs.
I just stopped. Cold Turkey.
Have not struggled a bit. A month and a half clean!

when i was trying to quit, i found the gums/patches/etc just kept my body dependent on nicotine. The only way i had any lasting success was cold turkey. I also found Allen Carr's Easyway to Stop Smoking and http://whyquit.com/joel/dayzero.… helpful.
I've been a nonsmoker for 2 years now, and love it. Goodluck!
- i took a photo last year of my gf smoking in bed reading carr's book... t'is well funny. good on you for quitting though.sine

Surely sucking on a battery all day is really unhealthy? I gave up with nicotine lozenges, just replace the cigarettes with them: when you crave a cigarette, take a lozenge. You have to break the habit. The e-cigarette perpetuates the habit...
- Yeah, copious readings of the Allen Carr book help too. I think you can find it somewhere online...eoin
- Yeh, good for you, Eoin - you've quit for quite a while now, haven't you ?mikotondria3
- Three months now, thanks! After 25 years :/eoin
- Fucken ay mate, splendid job.
You do notice continual improvement for months and months. Sleep, food, lungs :)mikotondria3

Start running. I smoked for 10 years. Started running, it hurt like hell. After a while I could not stand the smell, been smoke-free for almost 15 years.
- Where are you now?detritus
- < lolMrT
- Hopefully he's run in a big circle. Literally though - not metaphorically back to smoking. Jeez.mikotondria3
- good for you man!Miguex

Why is it that some people here think that these things are like quitting? you are allowed to smoke anywhere, you might consume less nicotine but the habit (which is the most important thing) stays present, and now.. you are allow to do it indoors, and pretty much everywhere..
If you want to quit, you quit cold turkey.
Smoking less is not quitting, there is no 'I'm trying to quit'. You will only understand this, once you stopped smoking. The whole thing of saying 'I'm trying to quit, while you take a drag with another smoker' is very common, but unrealistic.
I smoked since I was 13 years old, till I was 21, then fell again at 24 and stopped completely at 26. 8 years cigarette free.
Trust me, cold turkey. Take it day by day. I was saying "I'm not going to smoke today' if someone offer I will say tomorrow, I don't feel like smoking today, and kept saying that for a couple of months, after 6 months or so, is self discipline. Don't even fall for a drunken drag at the smoking patio. If you can resist the 'just one drag' you will be fine, and eventually the smell alone will turn repulsive to you.
- oh my god - a near harmless habit is way better than one that is going to kill you. so many stupid comments on here.fadein11

L.A. City Council Approves Ban on E-Cigarette Use Where Tobacco Is Prohibited

I quit while in USA - cold turkey. Smoked since I was 14.
E-cigs are embarrassing - would only get one as a joke present.
Also I found a lot of bars in San Francisco banning them cause of the smell.

Quitting is the easy part. Staying quit is much tougher. Understand that by justifying that "just 1 cig" you effectively break the cycle of being quit and have started smoking again.
So stop smoking, but don't let yourself get talked into the idea of "just 1 cig" and you'll stay quit. Seems really simple and obvious, but it worked for at least one ex-smoker.

I've been a smoker on and off for about 18-years. I bought an E-GO C about 4-months ago, and I've been off of smoking tobacco cigarettes since. Anyone that tells you that e-cigarettes don't work at all, or are "embarrassing", doesn't know what they're talking about. Period.
