I haven't been able to login to the Adobe Cloud to download Premier for at least a month!

They are running a one year contract that is the same exact price as month to month. Adobe needs some new marketing.

Personally, the subscription is a pretty great deal. I use 6+ programs regularly, to upgrade that was just ridiculous, so you keep using the ancient ones. That said, I have CS6 installed, been meaning to install CC.
I have always wondered why people think the "cloud" is so amazing. Nice to backup, but I'd never want my files or software somewhere else, just too easy for a connection to go down (had to work in a coffee shop for a week because internet was down for several blocks).
Adobe has no real competition, either.
Can't you have CC and CS6 installed on the same machine? Why do you need to be connected?

"I cancel my Adobe CC account last week"
How will you open your files?
- all my files are on my drives. I never used their Cloud. I can open all my files.benfal99

- CC doesn't take your files off your drive, evermonospaced
- you can't open an indesign CC file with CS6, etc. How's that going to work?zarkonite
- You open it with CC, of course.monospaced
- Exactly only a few of the Adobe apps can open files from newer versions.animatedgif

It's been working fine for me. I haven't noticed any outages at all.
- It was minor, but people like to get up in arms about Adobe.zarkonite
- I had issues with it this week. I'm going to bow out and get CS6, maybe through Craigslist.ohhhhhsnap

How is it expensive as a professional? Peanuts a month for everything they do. Never understand the complaints about price. Also haven't had any problems with CC - must be lucky.
- agreedmonospaced
- its expansive for personal use and job on the slide, i saidbenfal99

Thanks uan. That upsets me. I considered upgrading Illustrator to CS6 last year when it was still available from a previous version. In fact, they used to let you upgrade if you had ANOTHER program that was 6. I specifically remember there being language on the site that said you qualified even if you had something else new enough.
