This whole thing just goes to show that while we're having our conversations about what neighborhood to live in, what type of work we think we should be doing, and why you shouldn't really go to Starbucks, people are either A: being killed over by shit that has nothing to do with them, or B: living in a region that's slowly falling to pieces and they can do nothing about it.
Certainly made me feel lucky with my lot today.
- You act like it's an either/or thing, that to have concerns about other parts of the world we cannot be concerned about our own matters, no matter how small. You can do both.Josev
- own matters, no matter how small. You can do both, you know.Josev

it's interresting how people are logical and euphorious when it comes to religion debate,
but when it's war all logic and euphoria goes out of the windows, you should not pick sides, just look at the facts and try to extrapolate a theory,
the kind of comments about how they should take care of the body and all the other blah blah is romanced bs,want to see what a war zone looks like, here it is: http://imgur.com/a/gtc9T (NSFL)
now I don't see anyone crying that they should be a seize fire while they bury their dead..
- it's kind of hard to fight propaganda and build your own opinion, you know.uan
- wait, logic in religious debate?inteliboy
- I was wondering that too..detritus
- atheist love to put in front of everyone how rational and logical they are, I was implying they should use the same process when it comes down to war, because what I've seen so far from the comments here is pure emotion and this is not goodGeorgesIV

Seems like all those people are dead because of a mistake. I can't believe no one made any verifications on what kind of plane they were shooting at before pressing the "fire" button. It's crazy.
When i try to imagine how it was for them on the plane, when the missile hit the plane... it's just terrifying and i can only hope they all fell unconscious instantly.
- I think they did at the height.sureshot

- seriously, benfal, you're still talking about that? it's been like 4 pages, please give it a fucking restmonospaced

^^ Speaking of someone's last moments - I stumbled upon the audio (on youtube) of a guy stuck in one of the twin towers, speaking w/ 911 just before collapse. The scream as the tower collapsed upon him was fucking haunting, chilling and cannot be unheard. The stuff of permanent nightmares.
- Stupid me had to go listen to that. Poor fucker.detritus
- The dude, not me.detritus
- this is terrifying. that stuff make me feel weird.benfal99
- listening to that stuff brings me back to some sort of center.ohhhhhsnap

A documentary film about the 1988 tragedy over the Persian Gulf. On 3 July 1988, at the end of the Iran--Iraq War, Iran Air Flight 655 was flying from Tehran to Dubai; the aircraft was shot down by United States missiles fired by the United States Navy guided missile cruiser USS Vincennes as it flew over the Strait of Hormuz. The aircraft, which had been flying in Persian airspace over Persia's territorial waters on its usual flight path, was destroyed. All 290 on board, including 66 children and 16 crew, perished. Ranking seventh among the deadliest disasters in aviation history, the incident retains the highest death toll of any aviation incident in the Indian Ocean and the highest death toll of any incident involving an Airbus A300 anywhere in the world.
- Most Americans are completely ignorant that this happened thoughukit2

"Russia has released military monitoring data, which shows Kiev military jets tracking the MH17 plane shortly before the crash - and posed yet another set of questions to Ukraine and the US over the circumstances of the tragedy."
Amongst other things they are asking US official to release their intelligence material.the weird thing is, this news is not covered by western european media, they are not even saying this is russian propaganda, it's just not mentioned at all.

As the dust settles on this latest air tragedy, a number of very visible anomalies exist, all of which have been willingly glossed over by western media analyists and government officials.

Bleh, I've had to take expired passports along to validate temporarily issued ones beforehand. And whilst my passport's a fucking scuffy mess (my folks live near a border, so I have to keep it in my pocket daily when I'm home), loads of people from Blighty who don't ravel much all have pristine passports, in plastic sleeves, which stay buried safely in the bottom of their travel baggage when they use them once or twice a year.
As I said beforehand - in an environment like where this plane crashed, the first thing pulled out of the wreckage will be passports, money and cards. there's really no fucking conspiracy there, at least.
